Stayed here for 3 nights and loved it as our last Europe stop. One of the best we came across. Amazing breakfast with great coffee pod machine and pastries !! I always grabbed some for the road- delish! Room and bathroom were gorgeous and well lit for long sleeps. Highly recommend, oh, and such a short walk to main strip!

It could've been the sunnier days in Barcelona, compared to Madrid and Sevilla, or just the lovely fancy hotel, but I was thrilled to spend my last few days in Spain at the Gallery Hotel.

The hotel is very attractive, the food was great at breakfast, and the rooms are terrific. Turn-down service (and after siesta!) was a delightful surprise. Plenty of space in a double room for me to putter, and a very comfy bed.

Only (minor) complaint is no plugs near the bedside - so I couldn't use my phone as an alarm and charge it at the same time, nor could I use my laptop in bed if the battery ran low.

Desk staff was very helpful and made a terrific dinner recommendation for our last night in Spain - incredibly pricey but worth it, and an institution. They were also especially helpful considering we wanted to eat at the absurd-to-Spaniards hour of 7:30pm. It's tough to find a restaurant even open at that hour (you can always do tapas, but we wanted a full plate of food per person by then), but they found us a great place, made the reservation, and gave us a map to send us on our way.

We did return one afternoon for siesta and find my parents' room untouched by housekeeping, but when we called down they arrived within minutes and were fast and attentive.

The hotel's location was ideal too - about a block away from Pasaig de Gracia and Gaudi's amazing apartment buildings. But on a side street, so not loud or too busy. A bit of a long walk to the Ramblas, but we never bothered venturing down there on foot further than Plaza Catalan, because really the Ramblas is just a big street filled with chain shops you can find anywhere. We preferred walking the Passaig de Gracia and looking at the fancy stores (all designer and haute-couture) and used the Barcelona Highlights bus tour for a wonderful overview of the city and all the fabulous Gaudi-ness, along with the Olympic stadium, the view from up the mountain, and the beach. Can't wait to go back to Barcelona, and will definitely stay here again!

Very convenient for all the main sights but just far enough off the beaten track to be wonderfully quiet. Decent breakfast if you can get it at a reasonable rate. Very good Thai restaurant (Thai Gracia) not very far away.

There have been some comments on this site about patchy WiFi, but I found it worked fine - the only problem is that the desk staff tend to sign you up only for a few hours or a day at a time. If you ask them to sign you up for your full stay on arrival, there shouldn't be a problem.

It was our first time in Barcelona and we were pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel was in an excellent neighbourhood with all of the expensive shops - Chanel, Jimmy Choo, Armani etc within a two minute walk. There are also a number of the more famous Gaudi buildings within five minutes. The hotel though is situated about15 minutes from Catalunya square and the top of Las Ramblas and we found ourselves walking up and down a couple of times a day - yes we could have used the Metro but that seemed to take longer if you didn't hit the right train.

Breakfast and was more than adequate - cereal, bacon, scrambled egg, toast and all the usual continental cheeses and meats etc. Other comments indicated that it wasn't worth 20 euro and we would agree but that is the price that you pay in any big city. Our deal was breakfast inclusive and we paid £141 per night for a superior room which we considered to be good value.

Staff are friendly and English speaking and more than happy to assist.

Room Tip: There is an inner "courtyard" which some rooms looked out onto. It is worth contacing the hotel in advance and requesting an external facing one at the back of the hotel. Very quiet with glimpses of the hills behind. Get the Aerobus from the airport (obvious as you walk out the terminal) to Catalunya square for 5 euro and walk up the hill to the hotel.

The hotel is very well located between Paseo de Gracia and Rambla Catalunya. The Metro is very close but to reach the Rambla and the Gothic area is a very nice walking.
Hotel is very good in everything. People at the reception are kind and efficients. I have been several time in this hotel and it has been always a nice stay.
