We had passed it and it's nearby sister restaurant several times before we realized how highly rated it was. It's definitely close quarters time inside, once you have navigated the line up outside, but funny and engaged staff are on hand to help out... with drinks, generally! They have a slightly different version of how to use the menu, which they explain, but I always felt a bit off kilter the whole time... part of the charm, I guess. One unusual thing is (and there's a menu disclaimer) that they don't have any fish or shellfish items, which might be a boon for some people. The other thing is the lighting...at least where I was standing, the area was bathed in red light... and when the ingredients are things like tomatoes and ham and melted cheeses... everything began to take on a certain same-yness (word?) and taste. It was all really great stuff though and we enjoyed it all. The staff were great... I passed one of the guys on the street somewhere else and he recognized me and said Hi! no mean feat when you deal with that many customers a day!
