For a unique tapas experience, head over to Dos Palillos, a Japanese inspired tapas bar. Our favorites were the toro sashimi, the smoked soy ice cream, the cuttlefish ceviche with caviar, the eel temaki and their version of Peking duck. Loved it so much we had dinner there twice! They offer a tasting menu but we opted to order ala carte. Very friendly service (thanks Johann), a bit pricey but definitely worth it!

Michelin Star Restaurant. Asian dishes served in the Spanish tapas style. Exiting foods, frendly place, cool staff...
The food was made in front of the guests.
Its hard to notice the restaurant's entrance from the street.

Called for reservation at 1830 for a table at 2030 the same day. Upon arrival we had a private room. The waitress (Laura) was really good and explained the concept. We choose menu dos papillons which was a tasting menu of 17 dishes. These dishes were just wonderful and perfectly balanced. I would definitely recommend Dos Palillos!

This restaurant with an apparent old-fashioned-bar decoration, serves delicious creative tapas at the back, where there is a big counter around the cooking space: the chefs cook inside, the customers eat and look around. The quality of the food is very high, with small dishes inspired in the Mediterranean and Far East cuisine, a sort of merge of both cuisines I'd say. We went for the short menu, which is enough for a dinner (about 10-12 tapas). The staff was very friendly and easy to advice and to explain any elaboration. A must if you like top cuisine.

I came for lunch since it is hard to get a reservation for dinner at one day's notice. In fact it turned out to be much better at lunch time, you can do a la carte without a big crowd and a long wait between dishes.

I had a number of small dishes. shrimps in fish net was an interesting presentation but ok taste. Chinese seafood salad was excellent, crudo in a tangy sauce. unagi on rice was excellent. Chinese steamed dumplings with shrimps were good ( but I prefer the real Chinese version to be honest). Steamed crabmeat Sumai was not as good as the Chinese version. Peking duck you should skip ( the real Chinese Peking duck is 100 times better). iberico pork which was cooked for 16 hours then grilled was fantastic. The green tea ice cream was not sweet enough ( need to be either a bit sweeter or with sweet chocolate morsels on top).

The service was a bit lacking, not coherent enough for a one Michelin star. I think there were more cooks and servers than guests at lunch, but somehow it still came across a bit too hectic.

The decor is nothing special rather non descript outside in the middle of Ravel district.

The price is totally reasonable. For all the dishes I had without wine, the bill came to be around 50 euros.
