Neighbourhood: Barrio Gòtico (Barri Gòtic)
Description: Bio "Wine bar", located in the heart of the Gothic, which offers ecological tapas and a suggestive selection of natural and biodynamic wines. With an informal atmosphere and a dynamic and flexible menu, seasonal and local vegetables, wild fish and organic meat are the base of all their dishes. With a very strong philosophy of respect for the product to preserve its properties and flavor to the maximum, each week you will be able to find different suggestions from the chef according to what the land offers.

We had such a good experience when we went to Cometa Pla that we made a return visit. The range of dishes was excellent and everything we chose was delicious: strongly commend the onion tart, duck cannelloni, lamb, veal cheek, octopus, chicken and mushroom croquettes, patatas bravas - basically, we enjoyed it all. Everything is fresh, seasonal and local, and all the better for it. Excellent local wine as well. Reservations necessary. Efficient, friendly, informative, unfussy service; the pacing of the dishes meant that nothing got cold on the table. Highly recommended.

There are lots of food choices for those who want Tapas and those who don’t. It took us a while to decide, and we asked the waitress for recommendations who was happy to help and spoke excellent English. You can tell they use fresh and local ingredients and the menu has a lot of choice for gluten free and vegetarian.
Tapas arrived in stages, and they checked when we wanted the one main meal to coincide with the Tapas, which meant no one was eating while the other waited - nice touch. The restaurant is really nice and although small, you never felt cramped or noticed how busy the place was.
We didn’t book, got there for opening and got a table - but we were the only ones, everyone else had a reservation or they weren’t getting in - which for a Tuesday night shows how popular they are.
My only downside was the white wine, not quite to my taste but others enjoyed.
Would definitely recommend going, it’s down a little side street which adds to the quirky-ness.

In the middle of gothic neighborhood, this is a cosy place where you should do a reservation before, but with good food, wine and environment.

We decide do visit for the gluten free options and we're not disappointed. The veal cheeks, squid, octopus and cod tortilla were all amazing.
