STILL VERY GOOD BUT NEW OWNERS NEED TO GET A GRIP ON SOME ISSUES

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 2 July 2019via mobile
We arrived her only to find the Novotel just taken over by Sercotel. Anyway, just as good as in 2018 with good bedrooms, friendly staff, nice pool area and sun terrace.

However, the very new owners need to pay attention to some maintenance issues:

1. we declined our first superior bedroom as the curtains were hanging loose, having been pulled off their tracks
2. our leaking shower took from Friday evening to Monday morning to repair
3. I was shocked to find bare electrical cables behind the curtains (photo attached).

Just two smaller points: avoid the chicken caesar salad as the chicken content is invisible. Our car sat alone in the car park for nearly 4 days, perhaps unsurprisingly at €13 a day. You have to think they'd make more money halving the cost.

We will stay again.

Great hotel, recently changed owners so some changes occurring. Free parking, nice outdoor pool with a terrace to enjoy the end of day drink. Breakfast was not included but was adequate, no eggs. WiFi worked all over. Rooms spacious and separate shower and bath. Dinner menu was affordable and overall the hotel offered what was expected. New mattresses arrived the day we left. Need a taxi to go to town though.

Stayed here for 1 night on our way to the south of Spain. It came up to all expectations. Clean, bright, modern. Our room was very comfortable with tea/coffee facilities in the room. The bathroom was large with a separate shower. The reception staff were very pleasant and welcoming. The meal in the restaurant was very good and breakfast the next morning was excellent. Such a lot of choice. The hot food was hot which was amazing. There is secure underground parking for a small charge. Unfortunately we did not have time to explore the city but what we did see looked very nice with wide streets and hundreds of shops.

I cannot rate this hotel highly enough - if I could give them 10 stars I would! We have stayed here on many occasions and when we leave we are eager to return. From the moment you walk through the door to the time you leave you are made to feel special by all the staff. The service throughout the hotel is excellent - the reception staff, the bar staff and the restaurant staff are all very customer focused. Delicious snacks are served each time you purchase a drink at the bar....nice little touch! Our room was perfect - spotlessly clean and well maintained with a huge bathroom with bath and separate enclosed shower cubicle. A pleasant walk; about 20 minutes from the hotel over the bridge takes you to the Paseo de Zorilla where there are shops, bars and restaurants. We had dinner in the Hotel restaurant and the food was excellent and very good value - 18 euros for the menu of the day for 3 courses. Breakfast was excellent too with a choice of hot and cold dishes. We look forward to our return in the summer when we plan to stay longer.

Stayed here 1 night on our way to Burgos.
The room size is standard, with all standard amenities for a good night stay.
Location wise, a bit out of town, but the good thing is located in quiet area.
Stayed in room with sofa bed, so if you are a party of 3, this hotel might provide a good solution for u.
Breakfast is standard, nothing special.
All in all, nothing to complain
