“This is what Segovia is all about!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 May 2012

We did a side trip from Madrid to Avila and Segovia in the same day. (took a train to Avila, a bus to Segovia & then a train back to Madrid)
We arrived in Segovia around 1:40 in the afternoon and headed right to the aqueduct. You can already see it right after leaving the bus station. The Aqueduct is so cool to see in person. It’s crazy how well preserved it is. I would say this is the #1 reason people come to Segovia…it’s very impressive.
After checking out the Aqueduct, Plaza Mayor & the outside of the cathedral we headed to the Alcazar (where we went inside & climbed the tower). The narrow streets from Plaza Mayor to the Alcazar are a sight in themselves.
Segovia was great place to spend an afternoon.

Very impressive and in excellent shape. It runs for quite a long way and one end is centrally located by the main market square.

To think this is only a small section of what it used to be! Beautifully preserved and a must-see when visiting Madrid.

When you see this view, you get images of the historical place that it is. Wonderful view. We passed by it by the taxi.

“A Must--Destination”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 May 2012

The thing with Segovia is that ou get to enjoy the sites, the food and it's so near Madrid! It's a perfect day trip. Plus the town is so compact ou can walk leisurely to view all the attractions. http://marilil.wordpress.com/2012/04/01/20-day-trip-to-segovia/
