We rented the Villa for 3 weeks so that different members of our family could come and join us at convenient times. It all worked out brilliantly and everybody thoroughly enjoyed their stay.
The Villa is in a good location and you can either take a short walk to the centre of Playa Blanca or take taxis which are cheap and arrive within 2/3 minutes. There are plenty of different sandy beaches around Playa within 10 to 15 minutes including the picturesque El Papagayo.
At the Villa the pool was a massive highlight and the games of 'Volleyball ' became very competitive! That was followed on several occasions by a BBQ beside the pool which was lit up in the evenings.
This is just a 'flavour' but all in all we all had a great time and can thoroughly recommend Casa Dos Estrellas.
Arrived very late in the day relying on the instructions given to us to get into the villa. They were accurate and the advice to take a torch was necessary. Water had been left for us in the fridge.
The villa is lovely and it is clear that it is very much loved by the owner. There were thoughtful little items left around the villa for us to use. They had even left washing powder. We had the pool heated for the week and it was nice to be able to use it at any time of the day. Although we didn't have children with us, it was clear that the villa was child friendly with extra locks on the doors to the pool area. The garden has lots of colourful planting. Bed was very comfortable although a sheet would have been nice as we were too hot with a light duvet.
It is a 15 minute stroll to the town of Playa Blanca where there are lots of restaurants. We had a car for the week and enjoyed touring around the island. There are lots of fascinating things to see. A small restaurant high up in Los Valles is a must and there are lots of small places to eat at El Golfo if you like it quieter in the evening. (Great sunsets there!)
We loved the villa and would be happy to return.
We have just left this villa and have had a totally relaxing two weeks there with our three children. (11,9 and 7) The site is extremely quiet and private and we all really enjoyed spending time in and around the pool. (The pool was a very pleasant temperature as long as the cover was used every evening and removed in the mornings.) The pool area is gorgeous with beautiful flowerbeds and plants to enjoy. We ate our breakfast and lunch outside every day and headed out most evenings to the many restaurants that are in walking distance of this villa. The kitchen was very well equipped and it was a pleasure to cook in. Ants were an issue but having stayed in five different Lanzarote properties in recent years we are well used to dealing with them! We desperately needed our batteries recharged this summer and feel that time spent in this restful holiday home was just what our family needed. The villa felt like a home rather than a holiday rental. It was spotlessly clean, well equipped and in a superb location. We definitely will be back. The front garden and patio area- with mountain view- was an unexpected bonus too! Gail was always in contact by email or text to answer questions and this was very much appreciated. J Denvir
Stayed in this villa with my husband and teenage son. We all loved it, from the quirky decor to the beautifully planted terrace and front garden, lovely pool to comfortable beds. Everything we needed for a great break (computer games and DVDs included). Cannot recommend highly enough. Wanted to stay longer and intend to be back!
A good 15 mins walk from town centre so would recommend hiring a car if that puts you off. Also car gives you opportunity to visit the many wonderful sights on the island. Roads are great and the distances are not huge - so much to see!
