Stopped in for lunch at small, busy wee restaurant on La Gomera. Food was excellent. I had the quiche tart - light, fluffy, melt in your mouth pastry. Partner has tuna steak meal - again - excellent - we shared both meals as we couldn't agree which tasted better. Small family affair - great service, cooking next to none! A definite Jewel in crown for eating on La Gomera

This is a lovely small family run restaurant on the street . We went for lunch and can honestly say the food was Beautifull. We tried to go back for dinner but wernt so lucky as the place fills up very fast and with the great food they serve , its very popular .
Will def recommend and look forward to our next visit :-)

During my christmas trip in La Gomera and Tenerife we had dinner at La Forastera. We had a perfect 'bacalao' dish. Everything was prepared with care and very tastefull. Much better than the dinner in a luxury 5 star resort in Tenerife.

Really good food is hard to find on the Canary islands. La Forastera is one of the important exceptions. Relaxed and beautiful restaurant, very warm and helpful French family running it, good wines (don't drink local wine, go for mainland wines) and really good food. We had both dinner and lunch. The carpaccio, blood pudding and the gourmet hamburger were great, probably also the fish (which I don't eat). Recommended. The foie gras toast was too much, but it suited my taste for excess. Thank you, La Forastera. Really reasonable prices - people pay triple in continental cites for this quality.

Went to this restaurant due to trip advisor reviews. It was busy when passing. We had to wait 15 mins for a table. Only appears to have outside seating. The food is tasty. Octopus salad.cod fish . Fresh mango almond tart ... Delicious. Service is friendly. I would recommend here. Note no credit card.
