The Triana Backpackers is a very cute hostel. The atmosphere there is very good. The stuff is friendly and helpful. The rooms were ok, but not very great. The bathrooms were also ok and mostly clean. The river is very close with nice restaurants and bars in summer. Also to the city center its a short walk.
On the roof there is a terrasse to relax, but the whirlpool was not working when we were there.

We stayed here in a private room for 5 nights in June 2011 and would definitely recommend this hostel. The location is really good. Being in Triana, across the river from Seville, means you get to see more of the non touristy areas and we loved the neighbourhood around the hostel. There's tones of cheap tapas bars, supermarkets to stock up on sangria, as well places cafes and bars and it's still only a 15 minute walk to the main sights in Seville. I read one review on here that said the area didn't feel safe at night but we really didn't get that impression at all. If anything it had a real friendly community feel.
The hostel itself was kept clean and there was always plenty of food for the free breakfasts. The bathrooms weren't amazing but at the same time they weren't dirty and the one we use had a good shower. There are free walking tours and a free flamenco show twice a week just around the corner which was definitely worth seeing. The free internet was also really useful. Being able to relax on the roof terrace in hammocks was a great way to pass the time.
My only gripes would be the sink/washing up situation wasn't great as there's no hot water in the kitchen and 8euros for a cold laundry wash was a bit expensive. However, these are just minor things an overall I'd definitely stay here again.

If you arrive at the train station in the evening as we did, you would be foolish not to take a taxi to get you to Triana safely! It was hard enough to find it again on foot in the daylight.
Lovely hostel with really great kitchen facilities, fast internet, lots of atmosphere with a homey, individual feel. Rooms were basic, but fine.
If you want the best location stay on the other side of the river to Triana. 2o minute walk to Cathedral and other sites, but Triana did not feel safe at night for travellers/tourists, so get your food shopping from the nearby supermarket before dark.
On the whole, nice hostel to stay in and we saw the sights we wanted.

This hostel was about as average as it gets. One thing they should definitely fix right away is that there is not hot water in the kitchen so all those dishes you're sharing are being shared with lots of germs! And it grossed me out how there was no soap in the bathrooms for washing hands. Yuck! The one really great thing about this place was the gorgeous rooftop terrace. The location is a bit far from sights but very close to some great inexpensive restaurants that I loved. Also close to the bars on the river and very close to a shop to buy cheap beer and other snacks, also close to a nice grocery store. Free internet was also a plus. On our last night an enormous group of high schoolers came and took over the hotel. It was insanity! But pretty standard all around, I'd say.
