We reserved ahead. Unusual location in a residential area... looks like a diner. Most people in there were tourists but then again we were very early, like 8:30. I’m sure it’s different later on. Really good, flavorful food with a high level of sophistication and presentation. Friendly service. The mushroom arroz, the steak and a tuna tartare special were the dishes I remember well and would recommend. The chorizo lollipops were interesting and would be great with beer, but I wouldn’t say they were the best thing on the menu.

We ate at Puratasca twice while in Sevilla recently and had two of the best tapas experiences of our stay in Spain. Located across the river in Triana, this is clearly a popular local tapas bar. Although we did not eat our way through the whole menu, everything we had was exceptional: potato and chicken salad, arroz with mushrooms, and beef cheeks with a mango cream for dessert on our first visit. The beef cheeks were so good that we had them on our second meal there but this time with a wonderful artichoke salad. There is no English menu but the terrific staff helped us with an explanation of the dishes even though the bar was very busy both times we went. Although it might be a little difficult to find if you are not familiar with Triana, it is worth putting on your list.

We found the place on Trip Advisor as we were staying close by. We had to wait a little while for a table but it was definitely worth it. The food was fantastic however it’s such a shame that the level of service from the waitress didn’t match - the only reason I know like it down to a 4/5.

Had a late dinner here. Staff were quite nice (l got a minor telling off as I wasn't considered to be paying proper attention!), and so was the food. Not a big fan of the chorizo lollipops, which were a bit bland I thought. Rice, chicken and steak all good. Wine a bit expensive at Euro 16.50 a bottle for something quite ordinary, as indeed was the food. Quite a costly night, not justified by the surroundings (my seat was by an electrical socket hanging off the wall).

Thank you!
