Apartment is located in the older part of Granada providing views over to the Alhambra from the upper floor balcony. One double and a single bedroom with kitchen and lounge area is all you need if you are needing a base to explore Granada. Lovely outdoor seating areas and good WiFi added to the charm and features. Good bars and restaurants close by.
You will need a better map/Satnav than we had to find the location! Quite difficult because of the very narrow streets in the area, parking is limited so we left the car parked and walked or used taxis to get around.
We did not cook or wash clothes but all the facilities appeared to be there if you are staying longer than we did.
Good communications from owner .
We stayed here for 4 nights. Very homely. Great views of the Alhambra from the terrace. Local shops nearby. Short walk to the Mirador de San Nicholas!
Also close to Masjid with halal restaurant outside it.
Loved our stay- thank you!
Beautiful apartment located on a narrow cobbled street in the Albaicin area of Granada. You walk straight into the lounge/kitchen area which also features a comfy sofa bed. The kitchen is well-equipped and there are French doors on to a little courtyard with a lemon tree. Off the kitchen is a loo and shower, which is pretty powerful (The shower, that is). The tiled staircase goes up to a landing with a single bedroom and then a double bedroom with an ensuite loo and hand-basin. The double bed is small but very comfortable and all the rooms were clean and simply appointed.
Also leading off the landing was an external flight of steps to the roof terrace. There are chairs and a table up here and views across the roof tops to the Alhambra.
We were a family of four with our university-age son and daughter and the apartment was perfect for our two nights in Granada. It is in the heart of the Albaicin (old Moorish quarter) and in walking distance of shops for the basics (coffee, bread milk etc) and plenty of places to eat. At the end of the street is the lively Mirador St Nicholas area with its magnificent views across the valley to the Alhambra. This is a good reference point for taxis when you arrive/depart.
We are all good walkers and the apartment is in a perfect location, not just for the Albaicin, but for the city centre, the area down by the river, and even the main entrance to the Alhambra, via a steep path called the Cuesta del ray Chico.
Adrian the owner was very helpful too, so all in all, a great place for stop-over in Granada.
We had a lovely short stay here while in Granada. The place was hard to find, but the owners were very helpful, found us free parking nearby, and also advised on restaurants and a flamenco evening which was superb.
The accommodation was perfect for us with 2 young children, the kitchen was well equipped and the roof terrace in the evening with the view of the Alhambra Palace was the icing on the cake.
We were here in February and to have coffee or drinks on the rooftop terrace gazing at the Alhambra was a joy- the house is comfortable and full of light and there is a terrace on ground floor just off the small but well equipped kitchen. This central location allows one to walk everywhere in minutes - but I think we were surprised at how many tourists are in Granada- especially in Albaicin - many students- one can almost float on the fumes of hash and trip over dreadlocks, but the historical character of the place makes your visit worthwhile!
