I really enjoyed my stay here. The restaurant is good too, good breakfasts at good prices. Good location, 15 min walk to Alhambra. Outside street full of tapas bar. Modern, clean and confortable. Very good for the price. Great A/C system.

The Hotel Comfort Dauro 2 is a nice, reasonably-priced option in a charming section in the heart of Grenada. You couldn't call it a luxury hotel, but it's certainly quite pleasant, comfortable, and appealing.

I booked this hotel a few weeks in advance of our stay and as part of the reservation process they were able to also book tickets for us to visit the Alhambra (which was otherwise sold out during the time of our stay on the official website) at no additional cost over the official price, and it worked out great. (The hotel itself is only about a 15-20 minute walk from the Alhambra, so it's a good place to stay for visitors to that site.) The staff was very helpful in helping us arrange other activities during our visit, including an evening Flamenco performance.

We arrived in a rental car. Prior to arrival, we were e-mailed detailed instructions for arriving by car, which told us to ignore any GPS directions we might get because the GPS directions would not get us there correctly. Certainly helpful information to know, so I'd advise other guests to pay attention to it! (Cars are not allowed to be driven into the area around the hotel at all, except by special permit and for certain registered hotel guests, so following the directions is essential.) We carefully followed the directions, and with some difficulty, did eventually make it there. The directions, while in both Spanish and English, had some confusing mistranslations and/or colloquialisms that we weren't familiar with, including being told to temporarily park "on the bread" at the curb near the hotel (which must be some sort of colloquialism, because even the Spanish directions told us to park on the Spanish word for bread, "pan"--we have no ideal what that was supposed to mean!). But we did get there, and then we had a very difficult time finding a place to even pull over for a few minutes to check in, but we managed to park illegally for a few minutes to unload our suitcases and check in. We were then directed to take our car to the sister hotel, Dauro 1, several blocks away, and leave it there for parking (at about charge of around 15 euros per day, IIRC), which we did. (Which is why guests are directed to check in to the hotel first and then park at the Dauro 1--it's really too far to park first and drag all your luggage to the Dauro 2.) Kind of a pain, but it worked. (Upon check-out, one has to do the reverse--bring luggage down to the lobby and check out, leave someone there with the luggage while another person goes to the Dauro 1 to retrieve the car, then drive back over to the Dauro 2 and try to find a place to pull over for a minute to load up your luggage and the other members of your party.)

Once in the hotel, we were happy with our room. It was somewhat small, as one might expect in the old city center, but still a sufficient size, though certainly not a lot of luggage storage or closet space. We had a family room for 3, which included a pull-down single bed for one and a "double" bed (in the typical European style of two single beds pushed together) for two. The "double" bed had "memory foam" style mattresses, which I've never seen in any hotel before. They were super comfortable, and very enjoyable! The bathroom was serviceable and fully functional, but not particularly plush. There was a small refrigerator in the room, which was nice to have.

One minor annoyance was the TV would not stay turned off. We would shut it off with the remote or the button on the TV, and after a few minutes it would come back on all by itself with a blue screen not unlike a log-on screen from an older style computer. We certainly didn't want a bright blue screen on the TV when wanted it to be dark in the room for sleeping! I finally reached behind the TV and unplugged it (which wasn't easy because it's wall-mounted and not easy to reach in behind to unplug), and we never thought about it again after that.

In any event, overall this was a good place to stay and we're glad we stayed there. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Everything was normal, normal rooms, normal lobby, normal staff. Got tickets to the Allahambra Palace through the hotel which was super helpful. Rooms were clean, very nice and in the middle of a nice community. Enjoyed my stay.

Simply a very nice hotel with a great location - modern-stylish-friendly. I would definitely stay there again. You can get to all the sites within 15 minutes of walking and it's only 10 mins to the Albacyn and there are bars and restaurants all around - a good city break hotel.

This is a nice hotel. Room was small, but very pretty and clean. Close to restaurants and five minutes to the bus stop. Staff were exceptionally attentive and informative. The morning breakfast was very good.

Room Tip: Our room was very good.
