“Couldn't find a better location”
Reviewed 20 August 2011

Myself and my fiance stayed here for a week at the beginning of Aug 2011

Location wise these apartments couldn't be better. 2 minute walk to the beach. There is a little shop right outside the doors and then more shops just down the street. Also pubs and restaurants right down the street.
Its also very close to la Carihuela.
We were in a studio apartment which had a nice balcony. It was very basic but comfortable and very clean. We requested a room with a double bed and we got it no problems - its one of the only times in an apartment in spain we've had a double bed instead of 2 singles.
The pool area was really clean, plenty of sunbeds and had the sun all day - although its so close the beach theres really no need to hang out at the pool at all.

The only downside is that there is no air conditioning in the apartments. August is the hotest month and on some days we had up to 40 degrees so the apartment was so warm and stuffy it was quite hard to sleep.
Having said that if I was back to torremolinos in the spring time or for a winter break I would definitely book back into the ecuador park. If I was going back in the summer I might opt for somewhere with air con.

I should mention that also the staff were very friendly. They provided safes but they were at reception - not in the rooms.

We were on a stag party of thirty somethings and for this it was perfect. The rooms were basic but clean and the swimming pool was also better than expected. There was a friendly atmosphere around the pool although never busy or loud. Seemed like the majourity of guest were actually spanish on our visit.

Handy shop next door and a 3 min walk to the beach with plenty of bars/restaurants.

24 hour square was 20 min walk or so but plenty of bars on the way. Marina about 12 min walk and was lively.

Had a great time and to top it all the prices were very reasonable. I think this may have been because of the large number of Spanish tourists who'd refuse to pay the prices of resorts 99% British orintated. Pints from 2 euro and shots on sambuca etc as little as a euro each when buying a dozen or so.

We dressed in fancy dress one night and the locals and other tourists all seemed very positive towards us.

Ideal location for easy going fun in the sun and the Ecuador Park suited us well.

Ratings all based on value for money.

We stayed in a studio, the smallest one we have ever stayed in, I must add. No kettle, no micro and no air con!!! Had I known this I wouldn't have booked it. The balcony was a sun trap and very big, which I liked. You could even sunbathe on it. The room was clean and was cleaned every 2nd day and we were given clean towels.. The first couple of days were quiet, then there were Spaniards arriving for parties, etc, so could be very noisy at night. The safes are at reception, and very small. I thought they would be in the room. Another let down for us. Sadly, we won't return to these apts due to the fact there is no air con and we like to have our safe in the room.

Room Tip: Room 515 is very small but you get a lot of sun when sitting on the balcony.

We arrived before our 12 o'clock check in time but all the 4 rooms were ready, the studio's are small bt good for the amount of time we were in them the ground floor rooms for 3 ppl were much bigger you had a lounge part and seperate kitchen. The hotel on the whole was quiet until a group of spanish lads turned up the staff tried to keep on top of them but they were rather crazy as we were there for two birthdays and out until around 6/7am every morning these lads did not bother us!! it's not a family place strictly for hen and stag do's i'd say!! There is no bar open or restaurant to order food which was fab because the little shop opposite sold everything from hot chicken to beer and it was cheap a large bottle of water was 70p larger/cider etc by the can was no more than a quid either and you could take all this by the pool which was good. The beach is literally a 2 min walk left out of the hotel and there are loads of places for food personally we enjoy franco's its called the ivory its about a 5 min walk just passed the sports bar the mexican was also fab its english run and does great deals for large parties we had a starter and main and cocktail for 15quid and the food was fab better than chiquito's!! the night life literally is for everyone we ended up at the 24hr square every night which you can walk too it took 10 mins, if you profer the quieter life by the harbour was beautiful but it was dear as apposed to getting 2 drinks a jug and shots for 7quid down the square you'd pay 9quid for one drink down the harbour! hope this has helped i loved it so much im looking to book my hen doo there next year it really was a good holifday and lovely place

Room Tip: if you can tripple up you get more room for your money so try to do that....we took 200quid and it l...

Stayed as a family of 4 for 2 weeks. Apt centally located next to bars and restaurants and near beach but basic and in need of a refurbishment. Internet pictures can be deceiving. They are cleaned every 2nd day. No toaster or oven so cooking limited to 4 rings and a microwave. Most people using these apts are noisy Spanish on short breaks (stag/hen etc) and very few British visitors. The pool side bar was not open as stated but plenty shops nearby. Plenty of sunbeds and sun all day by the pool.
