We booked 4 nights at the Amare as a reward to ourselves following a long cold winter of shift work in the UK.
The Amare made us feel so welcome on arrival, explained the excellent facilities and breakfast arrangements (we booked the buffet as part of the deal). Our side room had a great view of the sea and the bed was very comfortable. It was however 2 single beds pushed together when we had booked a double. After an easily arranged room change to one with a double bed, our stay could not have been better.
The breakfast buffet was excellent and varied. My partner cannot eat wheat and the Amare provided her tasty gluten free rolls and croissants ever day. The cooked food was great and the fruit fresh
The Spa in the hotel was also excellent - we only sampled the hydrotherapy - pool, sauna, steam bath, jacuzzi and Scottish shower, and world recommend visiting this facility.
We ate one evening meal in the Amare Club which was will priced and tasty.
The hotel is located very close to the old town in Marbella with its labyrinthine alleys and plazas providing good boutique shopping and excellent restaurants (we recommend El Cortijo).
Overall a wonderful place to escape the winter and we are planning our next trip already.More
