The villa is just outside of Competa in a quiet area with beautiful views. It had everything we needed for our stay.
The kitchen was well equipped, there is a TV with lots of international channels and the wifi is very quick and reliable.
It was quite hot weather during our stay but the villa was nice and cool. The pool was also great to cool off in.
We really liked the area around Competa. There are some lovely trails in the hills which we used for our morning runs. We went into Competa a couple of times and went to a few of the restaurants. They were extremely good value and the food was delicious. Our favourite was el Pilon. The ice cream shop was also excellent.
This place is one hour drive from Malaga, half hour on the motorway, half on twisty mountain roads. The house is on the mountain side, with spectacular views to the sea and the surrounding mountains. The official pictures are telling the truth!
We've been there in February, the spring was just about to arrive, 16-18 C during the day, 10-ish in the night. The house is made for the summer, we could barely heat it up with the single wood stove in the living room, and had to buy the firewood ourselves.
Other than that, the place was just great, our host very helpful, and the location is ideal: few minutes to the beautiful town of Competa, 30 to the sea, one hour to Malaga, two to Granada.
Lovely location of the villa just outside competa ( you definitely need a car as 4 miles from competa centre ) but the pay off is very peaceful.
The villa is very traditional lots of wooden beams but when hot smells of creosote , and of course the stand shower head dose not fix onto the wall. But the pay off in the top bathroom is the best view from the loo .
There was only one fan in the villa and 2 bedrooms so I let my daughters have the fan and I sweated air conditioning would of been great !
But the views are fantastic and overall a good stay.
