Description: This emblematic wine cellar built in an old house from the 18th century is a meeting place for people of all ages. It has welcomed many generations of artists, flamenco dancers or politicians. It is named after formerly popular city figures called 'los pimpis', young people who had helped ship crews or passengers and had become the first city guides. It is furnished in the style of Malaga, and offers local wines and delicious gastronomy which is very popular in the city. The soul of the restaurant is the lounge with the vintage wine barrels, signed by famous people, such as the family Picasso, the painter Barcelo, the bullfighter Cordobes, The Duchess of Alba, Carmen Thyssen and Antonio Banderas, who show the historical value of this place. This establisment is in the old town of Malaga, next to the Museum Picasso, La Alcazaba (the Citadel of Malaga) and the Roman Theatre.

Very average food. Mains came before starter. Moroccan pita came on bun with very little meat. Some waiters rude.

As a wine bar this is great. Location is superb. Tapas can be found elsewhere which are better and cheaper.

First the one good thing about this restaurant: the onterior is fascinating. Nice looking old rooms with cosy corners ...

Then to the serious critique. The food is awful. Only half prepared, with terrible taste. The waiters are stressed, do not listen when taking orders, and seems to be 200% uninterested in doing a decent job ....

We will never return.

we visited for lunch with 3 generations family. Ordered a different courses to share to be served at same time. Drinkd came fast as ordred. Waiters initially very attentive. BUT tven it stopped working. Meatballs indelicate and tasting precooked. Calamares raw. Frites did not come etc. Plus for view. And we had interesting timr watching people. Food? Forget it. It's really a shame for a nice place.

Not worth it. Overrated. Starters very average. Had salmon as a main. Just OK, nothing special. Didn't like the atmosphere. There are better places out there. If you have a choice, go somewhere else.
