I spent there one night to get an early flight in Malaga. November is off season and the hotel felt dead. The pool was under renovation and the bar/restaurant empty so I had a (short) walk on the (short) beach promenade, grabbed some snacks and coffee from the vending machine in the hallway (nice asset by the way) and sat on the room balcony watching the ocean. Beautiful views. The room is ok but basic. No kettle, no room service menu, very limited international tv channels and thin walls -you hear your neighbour hoing to the toilet. Decent transit holiday but would not book it for a holiday

The hotel itself is good, not too far from the airport (we hear the planes), and on the coast, big fancy lobby, great breakfast and nice sea view from the room.
However, the room is very old style, no change since the 80's, horrible beds and you can hear everything from people in the corridor, to the neighbor in the toilet...

It it's a good place if you want to stay one night but not for a week of peaceful holidays...

The hotel is very close to the airport so there is some noise, but surprisingly little considering how close it is. It did not bother us at all. The place is around 15 minutes from Malaga city center by taxi (13€) or 30 minutes by bus from just outside the gates (1.30€). The bus is never on time so dont bother looking at the timetable. It will come sooner or later if you just wait.

Breafast is nice with good selection. Dinner is also ok but not that much variation. It is 20€ buffet but then you eat and drink all you want. The house white wine there is horrible so i reccommend beer.

The rooms are nice and clean although our bathroom was a bit dated, but in no way shabby. Try to get rooms facing south or west for a grand view of the ocean.

The area has wast beaches with good sand. The location is a bit desolate but there are a couple nice local restaurants in the area. However for proper nightlife you should take a taxi or the #5 bus to the city.

All in all a good pick if you want to stay somewhere outside the city center.

Have spent the last 3 nights in TRYP Guadalmar Hotel. What a pleasure !
Accommodation Food excellent.
Above all staff in every dept fantastic.
I particularly wish to thank Filipe in reception for his courtesy and knowledge.
Nothing was too much trouble for him and that contributed greatly to my enjoyment and comfort.
I'll be back !!.

Hotel lovely but staff very unfriendly particularly in the dining areas. Rooms cleaned daily but nothing is replenished when it has been used. Pool areas good and cleaned daily. Only vending machines available for drinks etc. Only a few eating places nearby

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view
