We visited in March of 2016 and our room was really, really cold. There was a heater in the room which we were not able to use since the regulator was missing. It was apparently turned on centrally by the house.

The bathroom was outside our room in the hallway, which we expected so it was ok. It was not 100% clean, but for a Guest House it was not a tragedy.

We weren't able to catch wifi signal on our room, but at the reception it worked fine.

The staff at the reception were very friendly and kind. The location is also good. It is at walking distance (15 mins or so) from the centre.

I cannot recommend it. 50%.

Villa Alicia is situated pretty near the town center. You can easily walk from there. The service in there was one of the best I have yet received. Also I would recommend the breakfeast which is relatively cheap but very delicious. Also the place is dog friendly which is a good thing from my opinion.

We stayed in Villa Alicia for 3 days and that was pretty nice.
Rooms are small but tidy and were cleaned daily. The small terrace is nice, and all the blossoming trees smell unbelievable! There was breakfast in the hotel (3-4 EUR), but we didn't used to try it.
It is 15-20 mins walk to a city center. The street is calm, so the quality of sleep is high.
We had late check-in and later some problems with the luggage, but the stuff was extremely helpful in solving this issues. Also follow instructions sent by a hotel, so it will be very easy to find the place.
Good price-quality offer. Would advise this hotel.

We just left the Villa Alicia today, after a 2 night stay. It is in a great location. A 10 to 15 minute walk to the city center and a little longer to the beach but in a quiet street. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I'd highly recommend it!

Villa Alicia is situated in an area that is convenient for the centre of Malaga and for the longer and more strenuous walk up to the Castillo de Gibralfaro. It is an older building which has a variety of rooms. We chose one of the en-suite rooms with a terrace. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean as was the terrace.

We thought that Villa Alicia was a good place to stay except at times, intentionally or not, there was a lack of communication and the customer service provided by one member of staff left a lot to be desired. Without going into details, we experienced a few issues with the room and these were not handled well by the member of staff concerned. In fact, we received no apology and the member of staff actually seemed annoyed with us for raising the issues.

In fairness, the other members of staff seemed friendly and the guest house has many good qualities but they do need to improve their communication and at least one member of their team needs to improve their customer service skills.
