“Gorgeous Villa!”

A group of 16 of us had a lovely stay at Chantry House in July. The booking process was straightforward and we were very well looked after by both Estepona Villas and the owner, Grahame, once we had arrived. Everything was taken care of for us!

The villa and grounds are gorgeous and we made plenty of use of the large pool (which is beautifully kept) and Jacuzzi which is on the upstairs terrace. You’re spoilt for choice when looking for a spot to while away the hours in the sun. The outdoor speakers on the terrace are a great touch too! There is also a large BBQ area, along with badminton, table tennis and a pool table. Inside, the bedrooms are all lovely and there are plenty of bathrooms. Perfect for a large group!

The location is good as you’re in a peaceful area but still close enough to the shops and restaurants nearby. We took taxis each evening, which were easy to book and not too expensive either.

Chantry House was the perfect setting for a long weekend away and I’d definitely recommend!

“Lovely Holiday!!”
Reviewed 21 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Big family holiday. 7 adults, 23 month old and a six month old.
Amazing, traditional quirky villa. Bedrooms worked out well. Although as the parents/grandparents we would have loved the master suite but bed only a double, we are used to super king so we used a twin bedded room, shame but ok. Also no shower in master suite either.
Well set out but I would say not suitable for a mobile baby - 3 year old as patio very uneven and although there are gates around the pool there is limited area around the actual pool so couldn't let toddler run around. Good stock of beach towels!
A little tired in areas and could probably do with a little modernisation in places but at least we weren't on edge! Very clean!
Kitchen well stocked with utensils, fridges washing machine etc. We had some great barbecues.
Beware of the temporary road leading to villa, very tricky to manoeuvre, my husband very clever in that department!
Welcome pack arrived too late but as a consequence we got it for free. I suggest owner not bothering offering welcomed pack just spend £10 euros on staples such as water, milk, butter and bread as pack was way too expensive for what it was! Supermarkets close, well stocked and cheaper than UK!
Air con in one room broke down and had to wait a couple of days to mend but owner genuinely sorry and did their best to get fixed!
Pool was nice and worth heating, didn't bother with jacuzzi as not a fan! Speaker outside great for music from your phone.
I have ticked yes to recommend to a friend but actually a maybe!

“Very good enjoyable villa”
Reviewed 2 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We booked this villa through Estepona Villas and they were excellent throughout the initial booking and any subsequent communications always replying to emails quickly.
The villa itself is very good. The pool is lovely and the outside space is very good - there is loads of opportunity to have privacy in the various areas of garden and terraces. The BBQ area is remote from other communal areas but my husband thought it was a great BBQ with a big cooking area for a lot of food. The villa is attended regularly by the gardener/owner to look after things but they were all discreet and friendly.
The villa itself is very nice - not modern but the beds were comfortable, showers great, and the equipment in the kitchen very good. The amount of fridge space is fantastic with American fridge freezers in the kitchen and main terrace and another fridge freezer on the upstairs terrace.
Wi-Fi is good in the villa and outside and our lads loved the wireless speaker.
The pool table, table tennis and badminton were all a bonus.
There is an Aldi and a Mercadona supermarket within 5 minutes drive and a large Carrefour about 15 minutes away. We bought huge bags of ice from Aldi which were about 80c.
The only negative while we were there is there is a lot of work being done to improve the roads and although there was no work being done while we were there and we weren't disturbed by noise, one of the access roads to the villa was closed so there was only 1 entrance which made parking and moving 3 cars difficult. Once the improvements are done, access will be much improved so don't be put off by this comment.

“Everything we wanted”
Reviewed 1 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

This was a last minute booking after we were let down with a villa we had booked. We booked through Gemma at Estepona Villas who was fantastic, answering all our queries very quickly and efficiently, would highly recommend. We had a little trouble getting to the villas on arrival as the surrounding road around the villa is experiencing some major roadworks, however don't let that put you off. As soon as we pulled into the villa and we saw the amazing gardens and pool all that was forgotten.
We were a party of 10, a mix of adults and older teens, the space was fantastic always somewhere to escape to if needed. The pool is really big probably 10x5 not including steps, it was kept beautifully clean, which must be difficult with all the plants around the pool. The gardener and a pool man visited a few times whilst we were staying, they were not intrusive at all and both very nice. The jacuzzi was also wonderful and lovely and warm, especially nice in the evening. Too warm in day really as temperatures were late 30 s.
The pool table, table tennis table and badminton nets were used regularly by the teens and all the equipment was in good order. The bbq was given the thumbs up too by our nominated bbq person Peter!
We really appreciated the two fridges outside, we were able to fill them up with drinks and use the kitchen one for food. The washing machine and dishwasher were excellent too and of good quality. The layout worked well for us and gave us a few options but as stated in the details some bedrooms have access from another but this was not a problem for us. The inside has a rustic charm about it. Piping hot water, excellent showers with good pressure and lovely clean bedding. Air conditioning excellent. The ornate bath was a bit of a struggle for one of our shorter party and could probably do with a shower instead in there but this is also an excellent size and lovely bedroom none the less.
Aldi and Mercadona just about 5 minutes drive from the villa, both excellent and Carrefour about ten minutes drive.
We really only had a few silly niggles, that did not affect our holiday. The outside space is the best part of this villa and Estsepona an.excellent part of the Costa del Sol. Wish I was still there soaking up the sun by the gorgeous pool.

“Fantastic venue for a family holiday”
Reviewed 31 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We've just returned from a fantastic weeks family holiday at Chantry House (12 adults and 5 children aged between 4 months and 5 years old).
The villa had everything we needed plus more, it was secluded but not too remote with a great jacuzzi and fantastic heated pool (which withstood some pretty rough water polo games!) and lovely grounds for the kids to explore. Heating the pool was a must at this time of year for the kids even though the weather was perfect.
Most of our party flew into Gibraltar which was only a 30 minutes drive away and we'd definitely recommend doing it this way as car hire was easier and it was a much quieter airport to use. Some of our party spent over 2 hours queuing for pre booked car hire at Malaga Airport then had an hour plus drive to Estepona.
The whole experience from our first contact with Tanya right through to leaving the villa was hassle free and we'd definitely recommend Chantry House as an ideal family holiday venue.
