“Good Value, Service & Location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 September 2012

Since we were driving- and had gotten lost in Spanish cities before- we wanted a location easy to find, as well as within easy walking distance to the old city. Although I am sure there are more ancient and authentic places to stay in the old city of Cordoba, The Hersperia was exactly what we needed- easy to find, cool, spacious, clean, and relaxing, with a lovely view of the old roman bridge and city. The old city is just a walk across the bridge- and the ducks and fish that live under the bridge are fun to visit too!

One tip: the AC turns off if the window is cracked open. Since they are the kind of windows you can pull out in a number of different ways, it is easy to have one part not tightly closed and be unaware of it. If the AC seems broken, this is probably the reason!

Stayed for just one night as part of a Titan tour. Hotel was clean and modern with friendly staff. Rooms were spacious with almost silent air conditioning- which was great as the temperatures were in the high 30's when we visited. Although our room didn't face the river, the wonderful bridge to the town was just a short stroll away. The ruined Alcazar with its beautiful gardens is worth a visit. Wish we could have stayed longer....

It is difficult to say anything wrong about this hotel but it is pretty souless, being part of a chain. Staff are friendly and professional but without the usual cheeriness of a family run establishment. It is in a good, quiet location just outside the old town and a short walk over the bridge. The rooftop pool is a bonus.

A relatively new hotel just on the edge of the old city center near the ancient bridge. The Mezquita cathedral is only a 5 minute walk from the hotel lobby. The walk to the old city center takes you right across the ancient Roman bridge with the statue of Rafael.

The hotel itself is fully equipped being a part of the NH hoteles chain of hotels. We were located on the ground floor and those rooms are reasonably sized, modern and above all, very clean. The beds are OK and the bathroom comes standard with a decent shower, toilet and sink. No bath in our room, but we do not regard that a disadvantage at all. No black molds or other dirt in the bathroom at all, which was a big plus!

There is a swimming pool on the third floor which is a little small, but large enough to cool down in after a days worth of walking in the Mezquita. Staff was very helpful and kind.

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms are nice and quiet. Since the pool is located on the third floor one may expect m...

Great hotel, good position for sightseing as the old town is just a short walk over the Roman bridge, which can be seen from the hotel. We parked the car in the street just outside the hotel and never moved it for the time we were there. Reception staff were friendly at all times.our room was on the 3rd floor near the entrance to the swimming pool, bit of noise from children coming and going but not really that much of a bother.Lovely roof terrace with views over the river into the old town.Definately recommend.
