Description: Bodega Mezquita. Tavern- traditional restaurant located in the Jewish quarter, close to MEzquita Catedral of Cordoba. An exceptional place where you can taste the best plates and tapas of cordovan gastronomy. Family business which we initiated our path in the 60s, is one of the favourite establishments as people from Cordoba as visitor from our city, when they want enjoy of authentic cordovan tapeo and best wines from our land. Cuisine which is made with traditional method, is essence of Andalucian gastronomic culture, with the best products from the rich cordovan land: Iberian ham, sheep cheese and meat from Valle de Los Pedroches, olive oil virgin extra, fortified wine from Montilla Moriles... As could not be otherwise, our specialities are: the famous Salmorejo Cordobes, Berenjenas a la miel, Flamenquin and Rabo de Toro. Our quality is recognised for numerous prize and honours like SICTED among others and the best guides to national and international travels too.

Was not sure a tourist area restaurant would be what I wanted but they were great. Ate here twice and got here a little early when almost empty. The Spanish eat late and seem to be like a flock of birds all arriving at the same time hoping for the last seat. We ordered the menu dia both times for 14.85 which is a great bargain and a good meal. We got the gazpacho both times which I hate to say is better than what I make. The seconds were also good although my pork estofada was a little tough but very tasty. The desserts were very good (the tarta de galleta is enough for two). The wait staff is as good as they come!!! Manu was our first waiter and our second one was equally friendly and on top of our every need. This place excels for it's price point I wish it was somewhere I could eat locally. Thanks for everything!

We visited the restaurant and had a fabulous meal . The staff were very efficient and friendly. Although not cheap, it was worth every penny. The place became very busy with people waiting for a table.

This place was recommended by our hotel manager, as it was close and served tapas. Our waiter, Jose Miguel, endured our attempts at speaking Spanish, but gave us full credit for trying to speak the language, and helped make our night super fun.

His recommendations for dinner and wine were great.

Great location with a great staff that provided excellent service. The menu was very large but also offered menu de dia. Great time after a busy day at the Mezquita.

A variety of tasty tapas at a reasonable price, backed by waiters who give discerning advice and recommendations. Two waiters stand out, Alberto Garcia and Jose Maria, for their friendliness and helpful suggestions
