The friendly staff checked us in fairly quickly.
Our room was quite large, and very comfortable with a fantastic view of the fjord. Apparently, all of their rooms face the water...nice! The bed was comfortable and had non-feather pillows (allergy sufferers thank you!). There were power outlets at each nightstand--excellent for charging phones and devices at bedside! The room had a mini-fridge/mini-bar.
The bathroom had a shower/tub combo that had scarcely any mold...great job, housekeeping! The water pressure was good and the hot water stayed hot. The magnifying mirror was a great touch! The towels were rather thin and tattered, though. There was a hair dryer on the wall. And what a treat to have soft toilet paper--thank you!
Sadly, the restaurant was closed on the day that we arrived (although, somehow there were a few people eating). Overlooking the water, it would be a lovely atmosphere in which to dine.
Unfortunately, I could never get the WiFi to work--very frustrating for travelers in need of access. Every hotel should provide strong, stable WiFi. The hotel has free, open-air parking across the street.
If I'm ever in the area again I might return to this hotel, especially if they resolve their WiFi issues. It really is a lovely setting.More
