We were ready for a coffee after our visit to the Bach museum. It was the best coffee we have had so far and the strawberry flan was delicisous - we’ll be back !

We stopped here by chance and had delicious asparagus soup, an excellent sandwich and a couple of pieces of very good cake. The coffee was the best we’ve had in Germany. It is a bit pricier than some other places but we thought it was worth it. The waitress was lovely as well. The location is extremely convenient for tourists visiting the church or the Bach museum next door.

It’s a nice and comfortable café in Thomaskirchhof, just by the Bach Museum. In fact, it’s right next door the Museum and there is an inner entrance to the café from the Museum shop, in such a way that one can accede the cafeteria without any need to go outside after visiting the Museum, as the undersigned did.
The ambiance is cozy and pleasant. The decoration is very simple, nearly inexistent but that is not detrimental to the nice atmosphere which can be enjoyed inside. There is a beautiful lamp on the ceiling. The seats are very comfy and the place is usually calm for the music audible there, as a rule, isn’t disturbing. Unfortunately there are sometimes customers who don’t talk as human beings and who yell to communicate with each other. That’s a shame actually. The staff is in general kind and friendly.
In any case, being in that place for a while may be relaxing, the more so if one is exhausted after the Museum visit. It must be outlined however that there the biscuits and other products other than drinks are extremely expensive.

This one is a favorite of the Bach concert-goers for before or after concert dinners and drinks. Always prompt, friendly and helpful, the Staff is nothing less than superbly professional. Good menu for a great venue...!

We visited here twice in the afternoon to quench our thirst in a quieter street and to get out of the blistering 32C heat.
A lovely wee place for a beer and to read a book for 30 minutes.
We for once tried the alcohol free beer which was quite nice .
The cakes looked good as well but we didn't have one.

Thank Karen M
