Not the most glamorous hotel you will stay in, but did exactly what we wanted it for. Reception staff friendly. Room comfortable. Good shower. Quiet. Free local train ticket, which also gave us a discount to Cologne. Very close to the station.

On the downside there was no safe in the room which I don't think is acceptable. Also whilst we had no use for it, the fact that the lounge bar/restaurant were closed for the entire time we were there I don't believe is right either.

Room tip: We had one on 2nd floor facing on to an internal courtyard which made it nice and quiet.

Dusseldorf as other German cities are not so cheap. IntercityHotel provide OK service for a normal prize.

The room was clean, the bed is comfortable. Big plus, that the shower has really hot water and extra heating lamp in the bathroom to avoid step out from the hot shower into a cold bathroom. The door of the shower is closing well to avoid wet floor and the size of the shower and also the bathroom was quite good.

The size of the hotel room was quite big comparing with other hotels, but unfortunately they cannot use the extra square meters properly.

Minus points to the rooms:
- one of the two mugs was not fully clean and 1 spoon was also dirty
- I used the other mug for making a coffee, I did not drink the whole and left it there for the cleaning, but I found untouched next day, so I pour it out, but I could not wash the mug (this is not apartmant, a normal hotel room), still found dirty on the next day, they did not clean it during my stay :(
- room was cold, but I could solve it for the third night with the thermostat, so it was OK after that

Breakfasts were good, normal continental selection. I expected some changes in the selection day by day, but they provided always the same thing (it was a little bit boring)

In sum, the Hotel was OK, but whit some minus points. It is good for the travelers by train as it is next to the central train station. But be careful, it means also that you can hear the trains also during the nights. If you are not sleeping deep, count with this. Also the city center is in walk distance and there are lot of possibility of the public transportation.

Our room was OK, reasonably comfortable, but missing things you come to expect in hotels now, such as a kettle and a safe. The plus points? Close 6 Euro a day parking, a five minute walk from the station with a city transport ticket. The area has plenty of small cheap cafés if you don't want to spend 13 Euros on the hotel breakfast. We'd stay again.

I was in Dusseldorf for just two days, so one night. As time was an issue I chose to stay here instead of my usual hotel due to it's proximity to the train station. It's only a 5 minute walk or 11 stop on the tram. The free transport pass was definitely a factor in deciding upon this as I was keen to keep costs down for such a quick trip.

I was able to leave my bags at reception and then I checked in later that day which helped.

Room was excellent for one night and value for money. Bed was comfy, shower was hot. No complaints at all.

Didn't eat or drink there so can't offer feedback on that.

Would stay again and recommend for a 1 night stay over, possibly 2 nights. But I'd prefer to stay else where for a week long trip for a bigger room & bed.

The good side is that this hotel has a good location - between train station and to the center there are like 1,5-2 km of walking. It's not noisy too and they give you free one day traveling ticket for public communication. However, this hotel is 4* and it deserves 2*. Not very clean, small room, no water boiler in the room and no light in the bedroom itself, only in the bathroom and hallway!
It's not worth the price you are paying, there are so many nicer hotels for this price. Before my stay I tried to contact the hotel, no response for days, but when I asked if it is possible to cancel my booking because of no response, they replied right away that it's not possible. I asked if there are any additional services, as my partner was celebrating birthday and I wanted to make the stay nicer. They never responded.
Also, after the check-out, we were waiting for our transport in the main hall, the service was very impolite and asked us what are we doing here, if we are not going to steal something. Very rude.
