Each concert is excellent. As the room and acoustics are great, too. There is the possibility to have free short visits on Thursday at 12 o'clock for 30 minutes just for free.

We were fortunate to attend a Sunday morning concert and the auditorium is magnificent . The orchestra were superb with a varied playlist and excellent conducting . The violinists were the stars of the show.

Great place to watch artists and listen to live music. Even on the cheaper (and more distant) places one has a very good acoustic perception.

The Philharmonie in the center of Cologne in on of the best places in Europe to enjoy music in the highes class , the atmosphere is excellent , the sound is perfect. After the visit you can have a look at the old town of cologne, or find an excellent restaurant very close.

The Cologne Concert Hall is nice. Remarkably the architect realized a pedestrian square on top of the concert hall’s roof. At classical concerts, security staff often stops pedestrian to walk over the square as it can interfere the concert. The audience can enjoy a large hall and adequate entry & lounge.

We came for the LSO under Gardiner performing Schumann’s Overture and Symphony 4. Together with Beethoven’s Piano Concerto 1 performed by Anderszewski it is the iron repertoire.

The concert was sold out. The majority of the audience is plus 60. The concert was outstanding. In particular Anderszewski was brilliant. Cologne audience left a pleasant impression. At the end of the concert to our surprise many hearers enjoyed a glass of Kölsch beer while waiting for their coats.

Not only enjoying the music on an Sunday matinée, but by chance we got into a concert where the conductor offered explanation to a Contemporary composition which was very interesting for both non-instrumentalist and instrumentalists/musicians.

I watched the traditional Christmas concert on Dec 23rd. The ticket office charged me 31 euros but when i got there, the people beside me had tickets that cost only 21 euros for our seating area.

The choir-and-orchestra concert was above average with the conductor instructing the entire audience to sing along in many points of the program. While it was amusing at first (especially since the songs are in German which I did not understand), it got tiring after a while since I was expecting a full orchestra performed by the musicians onstage. :)

I enjoyed the outdoor Live performances at the Christmas market behind the cathedral much more - and it was free!!!

Wonderful acoustics in this very modern concert hall with amazing design. Stewards positively stop any pics being taken to "ensure the architectural copyright" even when the concert has finished. Good restaurant needs prior booking
