The Neptun is - well - the Neptun. Small rooms, however refurbished and not as dusty as they used to be, less than decent breakfast (after all it’s a 5* property), and definitely overpriced: € 230.— for a double room in early April on a Wednesday night beyond any holiday season. And this refers to a regular room, no corner room, no suite, not the 18th floor. It is a holiday hotel, mostly booked by the (very) silver generation. Wifi worked quite well. Spa is solala (not to be compared to Hohe Düne, which is extraordinary in this respect). I was accommodated there by the conference organizers. Wouldn’t have booked it myself. It‘s not bad, don‘t get me wrong. Just too expensive, and not really my style. Best feature, apart from the unbeatable view: the lobby bar and its charming staff.

We really love the SPA: seawater swimming pool, Finnish Sauna with sea view. I was impressed with the ocean front rooms with balcony, sitting outside watching the sun set and listening to the ocean waves was more than wonderful.
Close to all the shops and restaurants, close to the beach. It wasn't too hot so we didn't miss the air-conditioner but the lack of air conditioning can be a really disadvantage on a hot day. Parking is quite expensive, the hotel is fully renovated but still has the old GDR style. The team was friendly. breakfast was good, everybody can find something, the selection is really good. There was live music in the bar every evening, the cocktail selection is really impressive.
Only one guy spoke English at the front desk, and the same in the restaurant but they tried their best and we always got what we wanted.

As I wrote, the only drawback was the car parking. It is not included in the room price and quite expensive.

Room Tip: Try to book as high level as you can, really worth it. The view is outstanding

I was impressed with all that Neptune had to offer: spa, bar, discotheque, clothes shops, and large lobby with many conversational spaces. The ocean front rooms with balcony were such a great surprise. Sitting outside watching the sun set -or- looking at the stars and listening to the ocean waves was wonderful!

Beach Boardwalk right in front of the hotel and many restaurants within a short walk.

Shower was very modern, and room was fairly up to date. My only concern keeping this at a 4 star rating was the lack of air conditioning or fans. Temps got up past 80 F, and the room took a long time to cool down with only the natural airflow through the open door.

Had a on enight stay there after business meeting in Rostock. I know the hotel from earlier years, was there in 1985. Everything is comopletely renovated in old GDR style.
Quite expensive, rooms very small, parking expensive.
The view from the room is outstanding !

I love the SPA! Seawater swimming pool and a Finnish Sauna with sea / Promenade view. Very modern and clean. Steam Sauna and biosauna and everything you like. I had a really nice evening there. I can really recommend!
