The Hotel is located 5 km outside Rostock close to the shopping mall Ostsee Park. The city is reachable by bus and tram but a car is definitely the better option. Arriving late on a Sunday the receptionist helped me to get a taxi pick-up from the deserted train station and prepared a plate of cold cuts for me because the restaurant is closed on Sundays.
The room was very clean and the furniture is in a good shape and provides adequate storage even for a longer stay.
A highlight is the breakfast offering the expected standard items in very good quality plus German specialities, always immediately replaced.
The restaurant offers a small menue of fish and meat dishes, no culinary revelations but good enough for a night in.
I've only had a quick look at the little spa area which made a good impression. The fitness "room" in size of a bathroom however is a joke.
All in all Atrium Krüger is a very welcoming, clean hotel with good and friendly service for a low price. The only issue is the distance to Rostock center which makes it a bit inconvenient for a city trip.More
