Once and old Pelikan Pen factory, the Sheraton is a very comfortable modern hotel, with comfortable rooms.
I’ve stayed here a few times now and each room seems to have its own unique twist. Some are strange shapes, others have quirky bathrooms.
Basic rooms can be a little on the small side, but the junior suites are spacious and very comfortable.
The hotel bar is opposite reception across a cobbled courtyard and is actually a ‘Harry’s Bar’. The food isn’t too bad in here, or alternatively there is a very good Italian (not part of the hotel, although in one of the old adjoining factory buildings) around the corner from Harry’s bar named Zwölf Apostle. Really good wood oven pizzas!
The hotel has an excellent gym which is part of a “Physical Park”. I’m not sure if this is a separate buisiness to the hotel as it is always busy with non residents, but hotel guests get free use of it.
As befits a large Sheraton, the staff are always friendly and helpful.
The hotel isn’t in the centre of Hannover, but a bus/tram runs past the bottom of the entrance drive every few minutes and it’s a short ride into the centre of town.More
