This deluxe property is literally at the north exit of the central station. Breakfast was above par and the rooms are very modern with all necessary amenities.

City centre hotels don't normally impress us but we've just had two separate nights (at each end of our holiday) at the Steigenberger Metropolitan and we both agreed that we liked this hotel. The rooms are smartly decorated with a fully tiled bathroom (shower cubicle and bath), air conditioning, free wifi and minibar.
The hotel is adjacent to the Frankfurt main station - we specifically chose this location for it's convenience to the station. Due to the effecient double glazing, this did not present any problems with noise.
The main reception and lounge/bar are typical Steigenberger style and quality supported by very efficient and friendly staff. The dining room looks very elegant but due to our schedule, we only had the opportunity eat breakfast. Whilst a cooked breakfast can be paid for, the cold buffet breakfast was complimentary - an excellant selection of food is provided.
And one final point, contrary to a previous reviewer's comments, the doorman/concierge carried out bags to our room!
Will definately use this hotel again.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel on business and quite frankly its great. I was really worried having had very bad experiences with certain hotels in Frankfurt, and usually always stay in the Flemings messe (which is also great). However, I was really pleased with my choice.

Stayed in a superior room which was just perfect. Directly facing the station the room was soundproof and there were no issues with noise (I am a very light sleeper!).

Room of an adequate size, bathroom really pleasant and modern looking with space saving attributes. The air conditioning was excellent, but unusually also the windows of the room can be opened which I like.
Comfortable bed & the free wi fi was really fast as well.

Breakfast was great, the omelettte particularly nice although like in previous reviews the service could have been faster.


Overall a great choice for a business stay in Frankfurt...

The hotel room is clean and in modern accent. Location very near the train station of which you can buy lots of food. The downside is that no porter to help us with our luggage. Overall good hotel with aircon eventhough its maytime.and with free wi-fi.

Our stay was for a week long trade show in Frankfurt. We booked two rooms for four people. This worked out to approximatedly $ 5000 Euro for the week included the breakfast.
The rooms were small but a nice bathroom and also clean. As for the service with the exception of the housekeeping, we were dissappointed. There seemed to be a lack of people working in the bar and the restaurant. Usually only one person working in the bar, sometimes hard to get a drink. The last breakfast there I ordered an omelet and never received it. The waitresses were confused and slow to come to the table and when they finally did they were in such a rush to get away that you could barely finish your order. We also sent out for drycleaning and buttons were broken off one shirt and sewn on cuff links on another were missing. We booked these rooms on line and changed the itinerary to leave one day early. We were told that a 90% fee would be charged regardless. I would think upon spending such a large amount and with ample notice we would get a full refund on the one room for one day. Anyways I would not recommend this hotel even with the good location aspect.
