Had hear a lot of nice things about this area. Didn't match my critters but there was a couple of nice places in the area. Just wan't to give you a heads up on the restaurants - too expensive (according to me) and not that good food... Sorry to make you disappointed.

As a Portuguese I haven't seen more than a dozen restaurants and cafés. Of course you may have a nive meal. But definitively on this área you're still in Gemany.

For a moment you think you arrived at a different destination. 4-5 streets on this district are full of Spanish, Italian but mainly of Portuguese restaurants, snack-bars, bakeries and food stores. Most of them have a terrace so very pleasant on hot sunny days. Portuguese arrived in Hamburg in the 17Th century so is probably the long staying community in the City. It's located on the harbor sides and closed to many of the attractions there. Surprisingly the Portuguese coffee shops have a price structure as in Portugal, very affordable.
Great spot

Thank José F
