We really enjoyed our recent stay at Duc's apartment on 199 Prenzlauer Allee. Travelling from Alexanderplatz is really simple. We took tram M2 for 6 stops to Prenzlauer Allee/Danziger Str and the stop is literally right outside the entrance to the apartment.
There was an elevator in the building but we had to negotiate two flights of stairs as the lift only stopped on the floor above us. But this was fine.
The apartment is as advertised and was very warm with plenty of hot water. The small kitchen was ample for the two of us and a baby. We were glad of the hob and oven to make dinner for the baby.
There was a TV in the living room with only German TV stations and no USB port at the back for us to use our chrome cast. Wifi was good but on one of the nights it dropped out for a few hours.
The bed was comfortable but they need to get new pillows.
The apartment felt safe and while there was some noise from an apartment below us it didn't disrupt us too much. The balcony was a nice additional feature.
While the apartment felt clean i think it could do wtih a much deeper clean, particularly the cream coloured sofa in the living area and the floor which was very dirty.
The apartment is in a fantastic location with loads of cafes, bars and restaurants only blocks away and very few tourists.
Given what we paid for our stay and the location, i would recommend this place and would consider staying there again.
