A year passed by, and me and my wife have returned to Berlin (after a trip to the Black forest), and to the Pullman hotel.
The hotel was very busy as it was Easter weekend, but nonetheless it has remained a great hotel, with comfortable room and a bed (I want it in my bedroom!), staff was very lovely and helpful, breakfast was yummy and all in all this hotel rocks! Keep up with the good job!
We will return!
The hotels appearance when you walk through the doors is impressive in the foyer area. Staff cant do enough to help you and are happy to offer friendly advice on things such as where to eat in the city, what sights to visit etc. Our room was magnificent with a huge bed and loads of space. The breakfast in the morning was excellent and one night we had a meal in the hotel restaurant which was 1st class. The cleanliness and overall appearance and decor is lovely and the spa facilities also very clean and comfortable.
We stayed in the Schweizerhof for three nights with our nephew, a twelve year old who uses a wheelchair. It was a great base for our stay, made all the better but the excellent staff whose support could not have been better. We had a stylish accessible room with an extra bed put in. With all three beds it was fine for us although someone in a powered chair might have found it cosier. The accessible bathroom was excellent with great facilities and plenty of manoeuvring room. My nephew also said the put up bed was way better than normal with a proper and very comfortable mattress. Staff were really helpful, all speaking excellent English, and the concierges were very helpful phoning restaurants for us, some we had chosen and one they recommended, and checking out access for us. Overall we would definitely recommend this to anyone with a mobility problem and indeed to anyone else.
Myself and my 2 daughters stayed here over the Easter Weekend. It was a good location for us, near to shops and 10 minute walk to the station for trains or underground. Hotel room was spacious and breakfast was excellent. Made use of the gym and swimming pool every day, nice to end a day of sightseeing with 20 mins in the gym, a few lengths in the pool and then relaxing on sun loungers, with a glass of sparkly wine and a book. Only thing to watch out for is mixed sauna between the 2 changing rooms, my daughter of 17 was taken aback when she went in and saw a naked man there! You also don't get free internet in the rooms but there is free internet in the business room.
Overall a very good choice of hotel and would definately stay here again.
