After looking at the reviews on Trip Advisor and at the restaurant website I decided to make reservations for New Years eve. I received an email from the owner indicating that our reservations were for 730. Upon arrival we were told that instead of a menu there was a 7 course meal. Maybe that should have been an indicator. We had 2 large shrimp, mushroom ravioli, white fish, lemon sorbet, 2 small lamb chops, small filet of deer, and chocolate mousse for desert. Three beers, 4 bottles of water, one coffee and a bottle of Italian wine. Also 4 glasses of champagne at midnight. All for a cost of €509 or over $600. After looking at the bill we were charged €50 for the champaign at midnight which we thought was complimentary. That is €12.50 each for 4 glasses. The food was good but had we known in advance of the cost of the meal we would have made other arrangements. No where on the website, in the email from the owner or at the restaurant did we see what the meal would be. Turned out to be €95 per person or well over $100. The wine was €45 a bottle.
We did look at the normal menu and it was within reason.
So I would say "buyer beware" and the 4 $$$$ signs is well deserved.
