This restaurant was recommended highly in a guide book and I was very pleasantly surprised. I thought it one of the best Asian restaurants I had been to in a long time. Very creative and imaginative presentation. Fresh and high quality. The place is very simple. Nothing fancy. But excellent food.

Had been walking in Berlin for hours when we came to Toca Rouge. At first we thought it was closed, but after a closer examination we found out it was open. Both the restaurant and the food was surprising. The interiour is black, black and then some black, when you want to use the rest room you get into a very small room with mirrors all over and flashing lights in the cieling - quite an experience. The food is asian, spicy, tasty with funny names such as Anrgy Birds, Chop Chop, Tsching Tschang Tschung etc. Comparing the cost to danish price level you get good food for half the price. Only think that keeps us from giving the fifth star is that we would have liked better and more tnder meat in our menu.

The food is mostly attractive because the asian dishes provided at Toca Rouge have a touch of imagination. Meaning that you well not get a soop noodle, but something with a more elaborated title. I like that touch, but that's about it for me. The food quality, I find, is not great, and the portions are small. Not good enough to pretend that portions are small because it is refined. It is not. It stands out as one of the only "hype" spots directly on the Torstrasse and provide a good solution for eating fast in the area, but there are other places for that in mitte

Toca Rouge serves Chinese with a modern twist. The restaurant, while small, is stylish and comfortable. The food is delicious and inexpensive. You can't ask for much more than that.
