“Central Berlin (mitte), clean, modern, convenient location”
Reviewed 26 February 2012

Great super central location in Berlin Mitte.

Rooms are modern but a little small, but, with a wardrobe, safe, desk with chair, night tables, lamps, larger windows that open fully, bathroom is all tile, with a shower, toilet sink and large mirror, and heating rake to keep the towels nice and warm after your shower.

Staff is helpful and cleaning staff is good.

Breakfast is great and full of alot of variety, for only 9 euros you cant beat that for a hotel.

The area is nice and clean and there is a bakery, coffee bar and tapas restaurant right across the street.

Around the block is a Lidl market for food, drinks, and everything else. Tobacco shop and Asian shop located on the same street as well.

If you are in a hurry you can jump on the convenient U-bahn (U2). in a couple stops (4 mins) you are at Alexanderplatz. I really like the hotel and location.

Walking - 12-14 min walk to Alexanderplatz. Checkpoint Charlie 15-17 min walk. Jewish museum 15 min walk.

I would stay here again if returning to Berlin.

Room Tip: 8th floor (top floor) facing the TV tower, great view.

Spent three nights at this hotel in February and would highly recommend it. Central location just two minutes from Spittelmarkt U-bahn station and within walking distance of many of the major sites including Check Point Charlie. The hotel was warm, spotlessly clean, quiet at night and very comfortable.Rooms had modern clean bathrooms with shower, heated towel rail, hairdrier and soap/shampoo and there was airconditioning and opening windows if needed. You could pick up a box in the lobby with tea and coffee making requirements for use in the room and tvs in room were flat screen although only one English language channel. Free internet access in the lobby with four pcs available and a printer, plus free coffee. Front desk staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Two bakeries just across the street were also very handy for breakfast. Got this hotel at an excellent price with discount for three night stay. Would definitely use it again for future visits to Berlin. .

I moved to this hotel after spending two miserable nights at a lousy hotel/hostel and I couldn't have been more pleased! The hotel is bright, clean, perfectly situated and a real bargain!

Pros: the room was really clean and quiet. The shower was excellent, with good water pressure. The location is great- close to the U-Bahn and within walking distance of many of the major sights. Free wifi in the lobby and free use of computers.

Cons: the bed was a bit hard, but not terrible. My biggest complaint is that the wifi is limited to the lobby area. The lobby has a few places to sit, but it's not some place you could settle into and get some work done or make a private call over skype. It's very utilitarian and can get a bit loud.

Overall, this place is definitely a good value. If you don't want to pay for the breakfast option, there are two cafe/bakeries on the same block.

Not looking for major luxury I chose this hotel due to it's very central location and the less expensive rooms, one only sleeps when on business anyway.

The room was in good shape and the bed was comfortable as well. Only thing missing were the small things like sewing kit, shoe polisher and there is no mini bar, not even a bottle of water.

Very friendly and helpful reception, always a smile...free lemon tea and internet at the reception as well.

TIP: Order your taxi from your room before you go down, took over 10 minutes both days I was there for the taxi to arrive.

Room Tip: There is a main building and a "new" building with "comfort rooms" which cost 10...

Staying in Berlin for only three days, we wanted a hotel just for sleeping in, as the rest of the trip was spent sightseeing. This hotel turned out to be perfect for our needs.

The room (although quite small) was warm, clean, and had everything we needed. The staff all spoke English, were pleasant, and were very helpful with any requests we had. They also provided us with a city map on arrival. The free wired LAN internet in the room also made it very easy to plan our days. There are complimentary coffee and tea making facilities which you can pick up from reception and take to your room.

The hotel's location is in a quieter area in the east of Berlin, but is just round the corner from Spittelmarkt underground station, which made it really easy to get to all the other areas we wanted to visit.
We didn't eat in the hotel, so can't comment on the breakfast, but there's a fantastic bakery right opposite the hotel, which sells great pastries and sandwiches, and is open from very early in the morning.

All in all, a great place to stay if you're planning to spend most of your time exploring Berlin.

Room Tip: Our room was quiet, as it was located away from the lift and plant rooms.
