We stayed overnight in this hotel on our way back to Italy from Prague and we were delighted with our choice. The hotel is very quaint and the host charming. The breakfast was excellent, we were served a huge platter of top quality cold cuts and cheeses and there was a well stocked buffet too. The room was lovely, spotless and with a new bathroom.
Another plus was we were able to park in the courtyard.
As for the town of Rothenberg, it's like being immersed in a fairy tale, truly delightful.

This is just the most adorable place you will ever see. A classic inn with a class inn keeper. We stayed for 2 nights in December while visiting Rothenberg for the Christmas Markets. Rothenberg is very tiny so this was right in the middle of everything - just perfect. The inn keeper was a delight and sat with us during breakfast. We had 4 people in the "suite" and it was perfect. 1 of the rooms was a room with a door, 2 beds were kind of out in the open where you would think a living room would be but it worked out great.

This is one of those classic inns where the owners make you feel like family when you walk in the door. Larger rooms are available for families. Great location with limited parking available. Rooms are quiet and very comfortable. Breakfast is excellent! Can't wait to revisit this one.

Wow what a privilege to stay in such a beautifully decorated historic hotel right in the centre of Rothenburg and with free parking! Our host was very friendly and the breakfasts were generous. Our room was on the top floor of the hotel and very comfortable. I would certainly stay here again if we return to Rothenburg.

Room tip: All rooms would be quiet as Rothenburg as very little traffic

We spent two nights in October. We arrived in the morning and were allowed to check in early.

The hotel is in a very old building, which is part of its charm. It is authentic, but very clean and welcoming. It is centrally located within the walls of Rothenburg, and convenient to attractions and restaurants.

There is a small parking area in back of the building.

There is no tv and no internet, although you can sometimes connect with city wifi in your room.

The room and bath were both good sized. The room was furnished with antiques, and the bath was updated with tile.

We were met by cordial proprietor Herr Hocher. He loaned us his Rick Steves travel book, and was very helpful with recommendations.

There is no lift in the hotel. Breakfast is in a small area on the first floor. The breakfast was generous, thanks to Herr Hocher, who not only cooked, but also interacted with his guests to make sure they were enjoying their stays.
