“Fine place to stay”
Reviewed 31 August 2011

I was there with my wife for one night during the 200th Octoberfest in 2010. The hotel is in good location: there only 5 minute walk from U and S - Bahn - "Ostbahnhof" (train station). Also right near the hotel a tram and bus stop. The city center is in walking distance from the hotel - just half an hour at a slack (with famouse Hofbräukeller on your way). There is a Lidl shop around the corner if you need anything.
The hotel is offering breakfast for extra payment, but on my opinion it is better to take a breakfast at small cafeterias at Ostbahnhof - if you're moving anywhere in the city you're going to use this station anyway.
The room in the hotel is pretty good, small, but cosy. All amenities are in place and new - the shower, toilet etc. as the hotel seems to be new.
So it is a very reasonable place to stay several nights.

Room Tip: The hotel is right on the street, but has windows looking on other side at quiet yard

Good location, comfortable bed, and and nice size room and bathroom. Free wifi in the lobby but not in the room which was annoying. Breakfast was expensive.

There are several Motel Ones in Munich. This one is on Landsberger str.79. The # 18 and #19 tram stops right near it. There is a wonderful little market behind it (through) the parking lot to the left of the hotel) The hotel is clean, spacious, the people are the friendliest of all, breakfast was pretty good and WiFi was actually good. Well worth the money. Two really good German Restuarants nearby. The first is just a few blocks on to the right of the hotel on the corner. The second is a must go to. Keep walking and it's on the corner of Landsberger Str and Holzapfelstrasse. This is a big 'German beer hall' with fantastic food! Don't miss it!!

Room Tip: The Motel Ones are like an upgraded version of Super 8s with Holiday Inn extras.

The hotel is situated close to the Ostbahnhof which makes travelling with public transfer easy as it is just a 5 min walk to tube and overground (S-Bahn). The room (I had a room for 1 person) is small (ok it's tiny) but comfortable, very clean (I think the hotel must be quite new) and very functional with no overly done design. The staff was professional and helpful. Had no breakfast so can't comment on that but the room without breakfast was for a great rate! There is no restaurant, only bar snacks are available but I got some info from the staff where to go for dinner and I suppose its one reasons for being a Motel... so no surprise really. All in all a smooth stay with no problems at all.

Hotel is a 10 minute walk from Munich Ost Bahnhof or you can jump on tram as tram stop is right in front of hotel (same tram takes you to Munich Center so very convenient). They are building a new huge Courtyard by Marriott right next door so the location must be a good one! Staff was very friendly and helpful. My wife and I stayed there 4 nights. Breakfast is very nice and cheapest by far of others we've seen in Europe. No lunch or dinner but there is a bar at reception area and nice lounge area that is sectioned off to provide group privacy. Free WiFi was available in the lobby/lounge area. We had an upgraded "business" room that included a desk and stool (not a chair), queen size bed and a place to hang clothes. The hotel was newer and clean, but could have used a few more ammenities (it is a 2 Star Hotel because of ammentities but it is not a "dump" by any means). Bed was firm (European style), but we slept well on them; no backaches! No phones or clock/radio in room so no wakeup call, no minibar, and no soap for bathroom. Bath was a decent sized shower stall with a half glass door that I've seen in other parts of Europe but the floor would get pretty wet (and slippery) if you didn't have a towel down. Could have used an additional towel rack and the only trash can in the room was in the bathroom behind the low towel rack. Room had recessed lighting that was adequate. Flat screen TV had minimal channels to choose from, but we didn't go to Europe to watch TV. For the price and for the amount of time we stayed in the room it was OK. I'd be willing to pay a little more for soap and extra towel racks though.
