Located approximately 10 minutes' walk from Munich Hauptbahnhof and 15 minutes from central Munich and the Frauenkirche area of the city, the Adagio Aparthotel is practical accommodation for a modest budget. Other reviews allude to the surrounding area being a bit 'rough' and whilst admittedly not the most picturesque district of Munich - establishments oriented to the, how shall we say, 'night-time economy'(?) line the streets between the hotel and Hauptbahnhof - at no time was I overly concerned about security at the Adagio, with (to my knowledge) 24-hour desk clerk and key card access required for the elevators to rooms. Rooms on higher floors might offer a quieter stay and reassurance in terms of security (the room I was allocated had potential to be accessed through the window from a flat roof in the alley behind the hotel.
Rooms/apartments were basic yet comfortable and staff were helpful. On-site parking is available, although not immediately obvious on the approach to the hotel. Amenities of the apartment included a kitchenette area with cooking facilities and lounge space with sofa and dining table. All very cheap and cheerful, although the Wi-Fi was a bit hit-and-miss during my 2-night stay. And that's about it, really. "Practical" is the most fitting word I can use to summarise the Adagio Aparthotel, although if you're a backpacker, business traveller or a group of friends on a budget, 'practical' is probably all you need.More
