I really enjoyed staying at this hotel . Very close to the main railway station and very near to all attractions via foot or public transport. There is an Italian restaurant next door along with various other options down the road. We were given early checkin which is appreciated after a 25 hour journey! Small kitchenette is very handy. Only negative is slow internet but I found that to be the case across much of Munich for some reason.

The hotel is in a really good location, only a five minute walk to the central station, and very close to the main tourist areas in the city and Christmas markets. The staff were really friendly and helpful, they marked the best Christmas markets to see on a map and gave us directions to get there. The hotel is okay. Nothing amazing, just basic but that was good enough for us. The room had a TV, free wifi, hair drier, a little kitchen with fridge and a small bathroom. The room was warm, and the bed and pillows were really comfortable. The shower had good pressure hot water. I would recommend requesting not to be near the lit up hotel sign if you struggle to sleep with light, as it is very bright and the curtains don't really help. However the noise is not a problem as the rooms are sound proved. The only two things I would complain about are that we had a double room but two single duvets, which was quite annoying and that they don't make clear that the snacks they offer are not free, so we ate a couple of peanut snack bags without realising we had to pay for them. Apart from that, everything was fine, I would recommend staying at this hotel.

This hotel was in a great location 1 block from main train station and very tidy. It's the first hotel we have found that offered an actual table that 2 people could sit and eat, plan, web surf, chat, and have a tea or coffee at. It was awesome. Nice to lay out maps. With a fridge we could keep milk and pastries ready at hand for returning on big trips out and about. We asked for a room off street and ended up getting workers each morning. Not hotels fault but could have saved the 40 extra Euro. Having a laundry in the basement was great too.

Had a pleasant one day stay. 5min walk from Munich main station. They upgraded us to the family room which the kids loved. For the price we paid, was really a good choice, almost 30% lower than the hotels in the area.

The Vi Vadi hotel is a lovely budget property just a few minutes walk from Munich's central train station. We chose the hotel at the end of a Danube River cruise for a few days of R&R by ourselves after our travelling companions had returned home to Chicago. Checkin was very friendly and surprisingly swift! The room was spacious and very comfortable. The bath was quite small with only enough room for 1 person at a time, but it was functional. Our room did not seem to have AC, but it didn't really matter as we were travelling in mid-October. The hotel is located on a busy street, but when the windows are shut you don't hear much of anything. This could be a problem in the summertime, when I would make sure we had a room on the backside of the building, away from all the street noise, so a window could be left open. The area has little or no tourist attractions, but a quick walk to the train station and you're only a couple of stops away. If our travels take us back to Munich I will certainly consider the Vi Vadi again! Hint: Ask the front desk for directions to the Augustiner-Keller beer garden (only a few minutes by foot) for an excellent traditional German meal and beer.
