A very good 3 start hotel. Dont let the exterior of the hotel or the reception worry you. We were there for Oktoberfest,so we did pay double the normal price for the room.
The hotel is less than 5 mins walk to the main train station(München Hauptbahnhof railway station). and easy 10 mins walk to the Oktoberfest.
We took the metro from the airport to the train station and easily walked to the hotel from there.
The lady at the reception was polite and ready to help.they let us drop off our luggage with them as we arrived a couple of hours early.
We decided to go to the fest to use our time and we were happy with how easy the walk was.
We returned in the evening and went up to our room.We had the room on the top floor facing the street and it was nice and quiet. We loved it.
it was exactly as shown in the pics. We used the kitchenette and it nice and clean. The bathroom was small but clean.
The wifi connection was good.
Our bed was two single mattress put together with separate sheets which got a bit uncomfortable, but it would work well for a some. The only little problem we did face was with the cleaning staff who came knocking twice, early morning. It was quite annoying. One time they just opened our room without knocking.
if we leave that aside, the stay was great.

Room Tip: top floor room facing the street was great!

our room the first night faced the main avenue, lots of light and noise early in the morning. we asked to be moved and were informed that rooms facing the garden were more money. What can you do, you pay so you can get some sleep. if you suffer from claustrophobia the bathroom is not for you. it was maybe 5 feet square at best. the hotel was clean, a short walk from either the train or bus station and only 10-15 minute stroll into the main shopping area of Munich and Marienplatz. would probably not stay here the next time in Munich.

Room Tip: back of the building if you want to sleep.

The Vi Vendi Hotel Munich downtown is closely located to the central station (just some few Minutes walk). There is a related Italian restaurant where also the breakfast is served. In my booking, the breakfast was not included (currently 12€). The breakfast buffet is nice including scrambled eggs, sausages, marmalade, yoghurt, different kinds of bread, coffee and tea (although the hot water for the tea in my case was either cold or nearly out), cheese etc. The hotel personnel is friendly and helpful. At a glance, the hotel could be renovated as color is missing at several door case and also the bathroom interior looks a bit outdated (shower and fan available). The room (in my case) was clean and consists of a floor, the bathroom and a sleeping room, which can be separated by a door. There was a desk and a modern wide bed with nice lighting (single room). Personally, I would consider changing the carpets to a more modern floor cover alternative. Although my room had windows to the Marsstraße, the noise isolation was ok. WiFi was included (access point and code on the room card).

Room Tip: You may opt for a back-sided room at 10€ increased room rate.

I really enjoyed my stay. Great location near Bahnhof. Close to central plaza. Rooms are clean and comfortable, staff very helpful. I give it 5 stars because I would go back gladly.
WiFi worked great. Hotel restaurant next door, but I didn't try it.

The room was clean and nice and you could make some food with the equipment given. It was hard to sleep because our room was next to a road where cars drove all night loudly (we were on fourth floor).
