Overall, I would go back to this place.

It has an excellent parking garage under the hotel which is only €8 per night.

Our room was massive and had a charming corner nook bench within the building's tower. It also had two balconies as well as a bean-to-cup coffee machine.

The bathroom has undergone a very odd modernisation, with a shower screen which meant getting in and out of the shower was very difficult (I'm 37 years old). Also, the shaving mirror was above the toilet on the other side of the room from the sinks. Most odd.

The staff were very professional.

Pool area is charmingly quaint, with 1990s style decor and old-fashioned bubbling hot tub.

Breakfast was excellent, in the hilariously-named Wankstube room.

Overall, good but needs some updating.

This is a very relaxing hotel with discreet professional staff. The room was very spacious and comfortable with a nice private balcony facing the mountains. just a few steps to stroll around the lovely small town with several restaurants and outside dining cafes.
The hotel restaurant served excellent food and we especially liked the 4 course menu ,which had some choices and was really delicious. Car parking is free in the road just in front. The cable car for the trip up the mountain is quite near about 15 minutes walk but we drove there. You need a few euros to park.

I was traveling with my sister, and, and stayed at Hotel Zugspitze for
4 nights ending on May 2, of 2017. The rooms were very spacious,
and, this was my 2nd visit, since April of 2008. This place is so well
preserved, and centrally located, I would not consider another location
in Garmish, unless, I rented a privately owned townhome, such as
Ferienwohnungen Maurer, where one usually needs a referral.
I visited the hotel in 2008, for, a Reflexology Specialist, and, made
this hotel from 9 years ago, on my "must return list". The staff treats
you like family, and, the coffee, and the AM breakfast, is a very
convenient treat! "I can't emphasize how very centrally located this
wonderful hotel is in the city of Garmish" The amenities are all
grade A, especially the Spa, all super neat and the choice of room locations!

A wonderful spa retreat hotel with great views of the Zugspitze. Couldn't fault the service or the amenities.
Our two late teen daughters, my wife and I felt very recuperated after our stay there.
We dined in the in-house restaurant, the food and service was superb.
