At first we thought this was a great score. But unfortunately our room was on the first floor, with balcony next to green natural pool. Seemed lovely but soon discovered everyone else got balconies to smoke cigarettes (yuck).
Second issue was room has no ventilation and no screens. So we left door open for a bit and my son was literally eaten alive by mosquitoes overnight. During the night the room was hot and stuffy, but there was no way we'd open door to let in more mosquito herds.

On checkout we told the lady and she didn't care at all. I think if you were on 3rd floor you'd get less mosquitos. We are super bummed about our experience as my son is covered in itchy, annoying bites. ☹️

We were wondering why they missed out on the last half-star. It's gotta be the fact that there's no air conditioning, and no ventilation except for the door to the balcony...the same balcony where 50,000 mosquitos are ready and waiting for their buffet. This is a problem, especially when your room is on the third floor and it's a hot late-June night. There are other reasons to question this hotel's ratings but wishing you had a tent to sleep in instead of your 4.5 star hotel is reason enough to avoid this hotel.

We stayd here for two nights and had a room with a balcony to pool, very nice. Breakfast was awesome with omelette as you like, fresh fruit and everything you can think.
The stuff was very helpful, we love our stay.

The hotel is located right in the center of Partenkirchen on the historical Ludwigstrasse and offers a great customer service. As soon as we reached the hotel the receptionist walked out to help us with our luggage and delivered it upto our room and offered us a welcome drink. During the stay we wanted milk for our child and the receptionists were delighted to come and pick up the child milk bottle from our room and deliver it with milk back to our room. The breakfast had a good variety. The only drawback is that rooms are not very well conditioned and it can be really uncomfortable in summers and due to the full wooden interiors it can feel dark during the day inside the room. The Wifi connectivity was poor.

What a beautiful old hotel, right in the heart of the old section. Room and bathroom was fine and location was great with restaurants and bars in easy walking distance. Make sure you take a trip to Zugspitze if you come to Garmisch Partenkirchen, it's amazing !! Definitely recommend !!
