After visiting the Eagles Nest we stayed in Berchtesgaden and we're looking for somewhere selling traditional German food. This restaurant was great, the food was lovely and our very friendly waitress (Don't know her name but she had dark hair) could not do enough for us and made us feel very welcome.

It's right in the middle of the old town, so it's prime for enjoying the scenery and people-watching. The building itself is what drew us in initially, charming murals and all. The large party in dirndls and lederhosen is what kept us interested. We were trying to guess if it was a wedding or not, but it was all locals.

I had the kaiserschmarnn (Bavarian pancake topped with cherries, raisins, and applesauce) with a radler, and my companion had the wurst platter (Four types of wurst - yes, you should really try it) with beer. The food was quite good, and as mentioned, reasonably priced.

Should you happen to overindulge, and be so silly as to lose your phone, don't worry, Bier Adam's got you covered. On the list of flaky things I have done traveling, leaving my phone behind here is probably near the top - but the folks at Bier Adam were kind enough to ship it back. Thanks, Huber and everyone, for a lovely meal and the return of my phone.

We found restaurant Bier Adam following the gps for the place next door, but we were very glad we did! We were greeted by the warm and friendly staff, and were treated to simply outstanding Bavarian food! It was here that we found the best sparglecremesuppe ( asparagus cream soup) we've ever tasted, and the venison goulash with spätzle was to die for. My wife had the farmers platter which was also great, but the portion was so generous she couldn't finish it. The bill was very reasonable, and on any future visit to Berchtesgaden we will not miss having a meal here. Highest recommendation!

We were shopping in the old town and decided to stop by at the local, nice looking restaurant for something to eat.

Now, just do not expect to be only ones in the place, only one waitress tended the whole downstairs,,,,so it might just take a minute to get serviced. I took a moment to watch her do her thing and was more than astounded about her ability to handle all the incoming-outgoing orders!

Food did not take too long after we got our orders in and tastes were all there! Ordered a traditional plate of local sausages topped with Berchtesgartener brew-> couldn't get no closer to what it should be. Also,,,,should you be interested in appetizers, try garlic-soup (mind blowing). Eh,,,,if you are traveling with a company, all stick to it ;-)

We visited here one evening of our holiday. My husband ordered the farmers feast which had an unbelievable amount of meat on the plate and was delicious. As I am gluten free I was able to swap the spatzle for rice which I had with the pork straps - also delicious!!
