Hotelroom (junior suite) was clean, but has some wear and tear. The minibar was not restocked when we arrived, and when we notified the receptionist he asked us to breathe on him. A very unpleasent experience, especially in front of other guests standing around the reception. We were informed upon arrival that we could enjoy the spa included with our room, and was planning on going there while waiting to go to the airport on our last day. When we went to the spa after breakfast, we were told we had to pay a fee of 50€ to use the spa, since it was after checkout time. Hotel was probaby nice once upon a time, but I would recomend looking elsewere if staying in Stuttgart.

Dont expect any service at all. Too bad we were not allowed into the spa which was the reason we booked the room. We were asked to pay 150 eur extra for the spa, which was included in the room price. .

Dear Mr. Jensen,
Thank you for taking the time to describe your impressions here.
We are very sorry to have to read that there were misunderstandings during your stay. As a hotel guest, but also from outside, the use of the spa is not only permitted, but even desired. It is very unfortunate that you probably received false information. We may promise to pursue this internally in order to avoid such incidents in the future. Unfortunately, we cannot revise what has happened and would therefore be very pleased if you would give us the chance to convince you of us during your next stay and enjoy relaxing hours in our spa.
Yours sincerely

We stayed in the Steigenberger in Leipzig and here in Stuttgart. The hotel is very nice, the bed so comfortable, and the bath products lovely. Reyes, the concierge, took great care of us here. The hotel is located in an area that is convenient to shopping and sight seeing.

Hotel is in the heart of Stuttgart right across from train station. Very convenient. Hopped high speed rail to London when we checked out. The porters will even cart your baggage to and from train platform track if you ask. Sauna facility was not working all of the time. First night we woke up to cold room. After three different staff tried fixing things, they gave us two very good space-heaters. Everyone was very nice and really concerned about problem, checking back daily. The problem was the corporate management philosophy. For a cold, stressful morning due to the hotel's HVAC problems, they were only willing to comp breakfast. On-site manager also has no "authority" to do better. I am in service industry too, and do a lot of travelling. I expect my clients to get what they pay for. Getting more bees with honey did not work with this place. Only after I upped my complaint a little and made clear we did not get a good night sleep, did they waive a bit more off the first night. Was not satisfied. Booked two massages for my wife, and cancelled second. More like a body-rub then a deep penetrating massage - even after masseuse was nicely told several times. I'd skip the spa services. The breakfast is first class. The staff really goes out of there way to satisfy. Too bad that attitude doesn't trickle up to corporate.

Room tip: Make sure the heat works in your room if you are travelling in the Fall or Winter.

very friendly staff, rooms and also wellness area very nice and clean. No noise from outside even on the side of train main station and ongoing street reconstruction. Early check-in and also both rooms close together even we arrived in time of big exhibition in town and fully booked hotels.
