Last year, we were at the Rossini festival in Bad Wildbad and visited Stuttgart for the Mercedes Museum and for the art museum. Between the two, we had a delightful lunch at Thai Thaani, so this year we had to return. We actually drove into the city with no difficulty and found street parking easily, practically in front of the restaurant. Thai Thaani is, looking at its menu, quite expensive in the evening, but for lunch they offer a generous selection of specials at really reasonable prices, in the area of 8 to 12 euros. The two of us divided three lunches: green curry salmon, red curry duck, and a tofu-and-veggie stir fry. All beautifully served with generous portions of rice. Thai Thaani has many more esoteric dishes which we hope to try next time. Soup was brought as a starter, and it wasn't the usual generic Thai soup but a really good spicy chicken vegetable affair. Coconut ice cream for dessert, served in its shell. Four Singhas washed everything down, especially as temps were in the 90s. The garden is a lovely place to eat and would be even lovelier without the many bees around. Next time, we might actually prefer the inside which is itself a most pleasant space.
