It in a quiet street, not far from the downtown and train station. Gives everything you need for one night but deserves some room renovation and hangers in the drawer. There is a small fridge in the room. In case of late check-in you'll get your key from the box against inserted code.

Slightly old fashioned hotel about a 15 minute walk from the main train station and old town. It's basic with little amenities but for the price it was fine for one nights stay. The shower door didn't close properly so you had to hold it shut with your foot which was a pain and the shower had a button to switch it on and off but the water would stop after about 2 minutes and you would have to press the button again. There's also no lift so you have to carry your luggage up and down the stairs. It's not terrible, but it's certainly not elite.

Six of us (2 seniors, 2 adults, 2 teenagers) stayed for two nights at Elite Hotel Heidelberg in mid May. We were in two rooms in the Bunsen Haus extension across the street (16 and 17, I think). Very comfortable rooms with up-to-date bathrooms and showers. One room opened on to back yard, very pleasant and quiet. The other room opened onto the street which was quiet but obviously not as nice as the yard. Good breakfast (extra cost, but not too expensive). Close to Bismarkplatz, which is the centre of public transit in Heidelberg. We would definitely stay here again.

As we only had a couple of days in Heidelberg, we found the Elite Hotel, suited our needs. It was within reasonable walking distance of the Hauptbahnhof and very close to the old town. We were able to find a local restaurant on the first night, which was literally around the corner. We strolled into the old town (about a 15 minute walk), and up to the ruins of the Heidelberg Castle (Schloss Heidelberg). We found the staff to be very friendly and one young lady, in particular, was very caring in her dealings with our talkative 5 year old. The breakfast had many choices and was reasonable at 7.50 Euro each. It was so nice to sit out in the sun room and leisurely start our morning. Considering the age of the hotel, we found the room size to be very generous and reasonably appointed.

The shower only allowed around 30 seconds of water before you had to press the sensor button on the wall. It made for an interesting time. On our last morning there, it stopped working altogether. As our taxi arrived as we were checking out, we unfortunately did not get the opportunity to let the staff know. Because of the age of the property, the floor boards are EXTREMELY noisy.

Room Tip: We found the family room to be a great size for four!

Spend 1 night , arrived after 20 00 no reception self check in after that hour. Parking is huge problem if you arrive in the evening. Price quality matches. Small nice pension. They have 2 blocks . Breakfast is extra 7.50 per person. The best thing is pension located in the city center easy to walk everywhere.
