“Convenient location for city centre and public transport yet suprisingly quiet”
Reviewed 13 November 2014 for a stay in November 2014

It's a lovely flat, so quiet for such a convenient location. As we were in the attic flat the floor squeaking mentioned by others was not a problem. Good controllable heating (even though it was November we only turned the bathroom one on to dry the towels). It wasn't cold enough to be needing the fluffy quilt cover! Marco is very responsive to any queries. The kitchen is very compact but then you are unlikely to be doing major food preparation.

“one of our best self-catering holidays ever”

We had a brilliant time in heidel-home and rate it as one of our best self-catering holidays ever. Marco and Christine were very welcoming and helpful and the apartment was very comfortable. I would make special mention of the comfortable seats in the living room, very good TV, comfortable beds and only 5 min drive to Rewe supermarket and generally very good and calm location. We registered with hotsplots before arrival which meant that internet access was free.
Walking in to Heidelberg was easy with lots of restaurant choice.
Details of sights of interest and restaurants on the website were very helpful.
The only improvements I would suggest are the squeaky wood flooring both in our apartment and noise from the wood flooring in the apartment above. Also the fridge was too small and the lack of freezer was inconvenient.

“Lovely place to stay”

A lovely house in a quiet residential area meant this felt like being in a home rather than an anonymous apartment. We had blue skies and sunshine throughout our stay, and it was pleasant sitting on the balcony looking out over the garden. The apartment was well equipped, and I really appreciated the extremely effective black-out blinds on the bedroom windows.
Marco was on hand to quickly sort out a problem with the toaster, and his directions and information were very helpful during the booking process.
The Hotsplots internet worked very well.
Only downsides: I found the beds too soft, and neither of us liked the fleecy polyester duvet and pillow covers. But other people might find both these things comfortable.
Great location 2 mins walk from the tram stop with a quick, frequent service to the city centre, and the train to Frankfurt airport (change at Mannheim).
Heidelberg itself is a lovely city to explore, but we were sorry that the river trips weren't operating in March and the funicular to the castle and Konisberg was closed for maintenance.

“Perfect for our family”
Reviewed 9 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

We rented an apartment here for the Holidays as our family was coming to visit us in Heidelberg. We originally thought 5 family members would be travelling, however 3 ended up making the trip. The size and layout of the apartment made for great flexibility in their stay and could have comfortably accommodated everyone even if all 5 had made it. The large living room, kitchen, and dining area made for a very comfortable stay. We all ended up coming over on Christmas morning and opened presents here as opposed to my smaller apartment in the Weststadt..

“Excellent - a home away from home”
Reviewed 1 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

An outstanding holiday apartment. Spacious, all the touches and a great location. The owner's description on the web site is 100% reliable. This really is like a home away from home. Self-catering facilities are excellent. Thoughtful touches too like an array of storage containers. Lots of helpful advice in German and English. 2 supermarkets nearby. Numerous eateries and a bakery. Very good transport links or a nice 15 minute stroll to the city.
