Description: The restaurant, formerly known as "La Raclette" has definitely found his fine reputation with the new head Olivier Nuret. It opens every evening (except Mondays) from 19:00 and welcomes you, whether you are hotel guests or not, in an authentic and warm atmosphere. On the menu, you can choose from homemade appetizers, selected meats, various fondues or course the famous "Raclette old" that made the reputation of the house: the squeegee is delicately browned under large ovens is served at the plate, as tradition requires. This is also the only place in Val d'Isere where you can eat this way. For the younger ones (under 7 years), nothing beats our special "Children's menu" or even better, half-priced specialities adapted to children.

Our first visit for dinner following the total renovation and food was even better than before.

The dining room has a contemporary charm and service is excellent.

The lamb was 'out of this world'.

We stayed one night at this wonderful hotel but would have loved to stay longer! Everything was perfect from the helpful and welcoming staff to the room, the spa and dinner as well as breakfast at the restaurant. We cannot recommend it enough!

We only dropped in for a swift drink, but wished we had stayed and eaten there. All the hotel staff are attentive, well informed, polite and engaging.
I can only recommend this to be a first choice hotel with a wonderful history and to think everyone managed to raise it to the floor and rebuild it in 6 months is tremendous.
Well done and thank you.

We were really looking forward to the new restaurant on arrival, and we were not disappointed.
A large room with several types of tables also round tables. Both dinners we had the restaurant was almost full, but not too noisy. The staff is service minded and it seems the control of tables goes really good. You get the feeling of being taken care of all the time without being pushy.
We shared a plate of charcuterie - definitely enough for the 2 of us. Then we continued with duck breast and sweet potato mash - just as good.
We did not make the dessert due to the fact the 2 dishes were enough for us.

2nd dinner; I had a starter of "tataki of Charolais beef" - wow;that was extremely good.
My wife had a soup; a very good butternut and hazzelnut velouté with different vegetables.
Then there was "Bresse chicken in creamy morel sauce". It was good, but I had the expectation a Bresse chicken should be rather special. I am sorry, it was not( at least in our opinion).
For dessert; we ended with 2 coupe of sorbet; a perfect light dessert.

Perfect staff, good food, and we hope to back again later

We stayed at this hotel (14th-21st April) and it's hands down the best hotel we have stayed in whilst skiing. The rooms are modern and clean, the beds are very comfortable, and the WiFi signal was very strong (WiFi is free - you can upgrade to faster speeds but we didn't need to). The buffet style breakfast was 5 star and had everything from your typical croissants, hams, cheese, and cereals, to things i wouldn't expect such as smoked salmon. We at in the restaurant (they have a 7:15pm sitting and a 9:15pm sitting) and our only regret was that we didn't eat in there more than once. The bar is cosy, quiet, and deserves to be busier than it is - the hotel is a little further up the main street so i don't think everyone knows how good this bar is yet. The bar staff were unbelievably brilliant and attentive in their service. Everything was above our expectations, but what really shone was the level of service displayed by every member of staff - foyer, restaurant, bar, housekeeping. The management of this hotel have clearly drilled into their team that they should go the extra mile with each person, offering nothing short of outstanding service, and this is what they all did. We've always stayed at different hotels when we have travelled but from now on we will just go ahead and book to stay at the Avancher - thanks for a brilliant stay.
