Always busy, was our second attempt to eat here (maybe booking would help) Pizza was very good

Enjoyable lunch venue, right next to the slopes

Visited in very busy half-term week on two occasions as party of 5, seated within minutes without reservation. Cannot fault the service or food. Would highly recomnend.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch outside here one afternoon during our week in Val d'Isere. The menu is extensive, and local specialties are well represented. Our friends enjoyed the pizza very much, while we found the Diots (local sausages) to be the best of our week. And, when a place offers Genepy Gelato, how can one possibly resist? It was as delicious as expected, too! This four star review reflects the fact that service was a bit slow and that I had to ask for my glass of white wine three times before it was delivered. Other than that, our experience was topnotch.

Enjoyed a reasonable lunch here as a party of 7. Decided to return next day but unfortunately two younger members of the family wanted a panini rather than a full lunch. Clearly we wanted then to sit with us once they’d finished there panini and this is where the challenge with the service started.
We were asked to move to a table of 5 but refused as we would be a 7 - the kids were looking forward to topping up their sandwich with some ice cream. From that point we should have left but opted to stay - food was consistent over the two days but the service was cordial at best with a clear sense that we were not welcome. Complete contrast to the day when everyone was ordering from the menu and this was quite disappointing.
If you have young children and you are looking for a restaurant that will offer you a degree of flexibility then don’t eat here.

Seacond days skiing , mid December 2017, too much snow ,many lifts closed , but nothing like January 2018 . Pizza'd out the night before so had special of the day - chicken and gnocchi - not the best for our taste I'm afraid - go back to a la carte salads next time .
BUT staff more than made up for it . To accomodate a large party arriving soon after us we moved table and helped large party assemble one big enough for them before staff realised what was happening . They were a bit taken aback but relaxed thereafter. Interestingly large party and another one were all English as indeed were 90% of skiers in Val that week , well over half middle aged
