Stayed here one night whilst driving from Caen to Nice. Wanted cheap, clean and warm accommodation and that's what we got!

Interesting entry as the front door was broken and we had to come in through a side door into the kitchen! Rooms and common areas basic but clean. Lack of hot water for evening bath was poor but shower ok next morning. Couple of options for food within 10/15 mins but the city is quite a walk and -5C temps didn't encourage. Breakfast next day was average and staff friendly.

Wouldn't stay longer than a night but ideal for stopover at budget price

this place is very cheap, and is juset as nice as the places that cost 3 times the price. bed was fine, it had everything you need for a nights sleep. there may be a lot of college kids there, but they were quiet. this is not a fancy place, but if you wnt to sleep- this is the place to go

Room Tip: pick an end room to minimize the noise comiong through the wall

This was our fifth stop over, (following on from Toscolano Maderno), and was for 1 night.
Unfortunately I cannot find any good things to say. The hotel was originally an Inter Hotel (Amarys) and had changed hands to the Kyriad. Reception staff were originally unable to find our booking, (not needed after riding over the mountains for the last 6 hours). The staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing as the key card to our room had not been activated, which meant another trip to reception. The lift was small and cramped and was only just big enough for 2 people carrying biking gear. Room numbers were not printed correctly on the doors, and the paintwork was tired and battered. There were several things broken in the bathroom, the tab on top of the lever to lift the plug from the sink was missing, I had to physically remove the plug from the bath to drain the water from the shower, as no matter how many times, or which way, I turned the dial to lift it, it did not work. The extractor fan did not work, and the switch on the outside of the bathroom was broken. The bed and pillows were the most uncomfortable I have ever tried to sleep in. Neither my wife or I, got much sleep. They then tried to charge us for breakfast (12 Euros each for a cup of coffee and croissants) which we didn’t have.

The staff were not very helpful as we went out to eat (there is no restaurant), and did not advise as to where to go. Walking into centre ville, (30-45 mins) all the eating places were closing for the evening (6.00 pm), and we ended up on the edge of a shopping centre where the choice seemed to be Sushi or Subway, and the one we went to which was supposedly “Italian”. The staff here were not very pleasant, and the only reason it was Italian was because it served Pizza. Maybe it is a Grenoble thing. I am marking this one down as places to avoid.

Room Tip: Find another hotel.
